Sorry to burst your bubble on this one, but as others have told you, the company will not at this time, technically they said at no time in the future will Type Two format ever have Generic immortals. You can continue to rant about it if you wish, but this has been addressed by certain members of the board for months now to no avail. The best option for you is to play Type One format as Prowler suggested due to your circumstances. Headswillroll

Ummmm Generic Immortals would they would have the same assignments as any other Generic Immortal as if you weren't using any such card. Just you would have some minor special abilities added in depending on the type. I am not sure you have any idea what the rules ARE concerning deck construction in 2ed Type Two. Each persona has an assigned number of gems of each type they are allowed in thier deck. These numbers vary depending on the immortal, thus making each immortal different from the rest. Nearly every card has at least 1 gem assigned to it, which counts towards your gem restriction number during deck construction. Think of it this way : your persona card is what gives you the number of each gem you are allowed in your deck. Without a persona card, you would have gem numbers of 0, thus you wouldnt be allowed ANY cards with gems on them in your deck.

I'm not ranting the rules posted have them, so I thought there were basic stats for a generic immortals somewhere as a standard default spread if not using an immortal persona. Anyway this is posted as 1e to 2e conversion so why not develop a house rule for friendly play with no persona card? As far as I'm concerned the company rules are primarily for sanctioned tournaments not friendly play (or unofficial tournaments) so if you included them how would you assign their gems?
As for the game I am kind of upset they don't actually have them but many personas I noticed have nice uncommon cards and some are improved. Amanda to me finally looks like herself seductive, sneaky and quick unlike 1e that never did ,in my view, get her right. And the WoC are nice for once.

Unlike the First Edition, Personas are easy to get and don't take a rare slot, all immortals get eight unique cards that are not rare and should be easy to get, the WOC contain six unique cards that are also not rare. So, if you want to play a deck that has some options without spending a lot of money on rare cards, you can pretty much do that with any immortal you choose. You can then add the rares as you can afford or see the need.

Well I do like Amanda ravishing and deadly like she is supposed to be. And she was never a tank her strengths are clearly quickness, charm, tricks and being wickedly hard to hit.
I do miss one card LOW BLOW, you know the old knee to the crotch. I just liked that card it was so her. lol

And maybe a similar Richie in the future will fit part of your need - the ability to use a mix of cards from other personas that you might not normally have the chance to use (at least early on).
That was always my favorite part of playing him in type 1.

I'll give the designers credit they also broke the Cheese-o-Matic Decks apart I noticed save for a few immortals little direct damage or ability loss that are not some kind of attack. And after studying the card lists I did notice many immortals have kickin' commons and uncommons to play with.
And Richie was my main immortal in 1e I know people laughed him off and many players never figured out you still had to focus him somewhere, but he was great. The picture for the card sucked though. lol
I did notice one other thing the possibility of a Weapon Master (or Mistress) strategy built around a WOC, something the 1e never exploited fully. I think combat decks were kind of screwed over in 1e later in the game which made such decks rather pointless with cheese decks avoiding direct fights.
Now immortals I want to see in the game: Richie Ryan (how can they NOT have Richie Ryan folks) and Kalas (he may have had fewer cards but his Stalk and Power far made up for it).

The Design Team has said that it is very unlikely we will see another immortal with a Ritchie or Methos type ability (to use other immortals cards). We are gonna see Ritchie in the Season Two core set, but he most likely WONT have the same ability. You arent alone in your affection for Kalas. Russel(l) Merchant is OBSESSED with Kalas, and he is good friends with the Design Team, so I am sure he has pestered them to NO END to unsure Kalas will see reprint in 2ed.

Its a shame Richie in 1e was fun but who knows maybe they'll do something fun with him along luck and adaptability, two things he was good at. He always seemed in the series to win fights by a mix of skill and sometimes luck. Like that first duel where he took a head and the opponent fell through the floor becoming well helpless. I suspect though he is going to be a strong one after all he survived alot of fights against some pretty strong immortals.

Truthfully, I have been very happy with all of the immortals you guys have done so far. Some have not been very good in SEALED DECK (even WITH good colation), but in constructed I think you have all done a very good job and I look forward to seeing what you did with him.
