Updated as of Feb 23rd 2009
After a lot of research and discussion, the Rules Team decided on the following changes:
"Constructing a Deck" -
When you begin constructing your deck for the Type Two format, you may only use 2nd edition cards. (Type Two Only)
Added to the Illusions entry:
Illusions are swept from play each turn.
Added to the Reserved or Signature Symbol entry:
Signature cards CANNOT be included in your deck by any means unless your Persona matches the name or Group name in the card subtitle.
"Other Game Aspects" -
Standing Defenses: Standing defenses are a type of card that remains in play and affects the game until they are removed by a card or effect. These cards state that they are a standing defense. You may play standing defenses during your Defense or Attack Phase, even if you have not been attacked. Once per turn, during your May Do/Must Do Phase, you may discard from play, one standing defense that you have in play that has a Hand Icon on it. Example: Katana- Two Handed Stance. Standing Defenses without a Hand Icon must be removed from play by other means, and cannot be removed at will unless it has a "discard to use" ability in the text.
Removed from the Special Attacks entry:
Edge cards cannot be played in conjunction with Special Attacks.
FAQ -
Losing Persona Ability and Gem Reassignments or Additions – (Type Two Only)
Losing a Persona Ability has no effect on Persona Powers that allow for Gems to be redistributed during deck construction.
Weapon Of Choice Foils and Disarm – (Type Two Only)
If you are using a Weapon Of Choice Foil card and become disarmed, you still keep the benefit of the +1 Gem aspect of the Foil card.
Card Errata-
Holy Ground (HSFV-096) 3
Event
Avoid all attacks this turn. Skip your Attack phase. Remove the top three cards of your endurance from the game.
-----------------------------------------------------
The changes above are supported by the other members of the Design Team, as well as Mike Sager. The above was agreed upon with a vision not only for the current cards, but the cards coming in the future.
