Gadzooks, that fur collared jacket tells me that the Cracker Bob aspect of Kell's quickening was the dominant one!

I hope that is not the real plot, but the Pictures seem to follow it through

That's exactly what I was thinking when I read the plot too... I hope that is not the real plot, but the Pictures seem to follow it through

Gee, that sounds an awful lot like the Zeist fiasco... They've had plenty of time to produce something interesting, why repeatedly destroy the story? The whole world has fallen into chaos? They still can't think up a new idea? A roaving band of bad immortals following a really bad one with a deep gravely voice? Gimme a break.

Did anyone else think the best part of Highlander:Endgame (beisdes a neked Faith) was the whole idea of a Sanctaury. A killer movie could have been made around the idea of the renegade watchers having a secret sanctuary and holding Conner against his will, Duncan having to plow his way through imoortals and watchers to find his lost "brother"
At least that could afford some emotional drama. I think they seriously underesitimate their audience when all they do is effects and crappy sword play, without the emotional core it doesn;t matter whop loses a head or not. I could have cared less that Conner died by that time.
Now when Ramirez died, that was a "No f***ing way" moment!
The new movie looks like more of the same dreck they've been forcing us in films already. I hope "The Source" and the following are better than they appear thus far,

Yeah, if you're gonna kill a good guy, you have to make them likable, otherwise you might as well just kill a street sign and save money on actor salaries.

You wouldn't kill a street sign, would you. That'd be cruel and mean, and I'm about to cry...
To true. If they had killed Methos or Joe during the regular series it would have been tragic and outrageous, at this point you kill them in a movie and it's meh...
We had grown attached to the characters, but in the films, they're just talking heads without the presence they used to have. Sad.
And it's not hard to create characters in a 2 hour film that people care about the fates of, you could throw a slew of great films that had tragic outcomes and you truly did care, and some of them had some great action and development. Empire anyone?
Fingers crossed we get better than we've gotten.
