I have not heard any offical news yet on the release date. You said Headswillroll will be gone at least a month, but evaluated when the new set comes out. Isnt that a "tell" of when YOU think the set will finally come out? ;D

If Mike's past release schedules hold true, I guess we'll see headswillroll sometime around December. Cy

That is quite a while past the 45 days people have to file a dispute and get there money back on that ebay deal. Actually, that would be right around the 45 day mark. Especially since the buyer has to wait about 10 days before FILING the dispute, then the different negotiations begin. The whole process can easily be drug out to last 2 months.

Especially since the buyer has to wait about 10 days before FILING the dispute, then the different negotiations begin. The whole process can easily be drug out to last 2 months. The buyer can lodge the eBay dispute as soon as they like, it just takes 10 days after you lodge it before you say that negotiations have failed. The key thing is that you have to get your dispute lodged before the time is up. I dunno about Paypal disputes... If I had bought the set and it didn't turn up on my doorstep on June 15 I would be lodging the dispute(s) immediately. If you try waiting til the last minute with delayed items you might miss the date through forgetfulness or just getting the day slightly off. (I know from personal experience with one item I never received and cost me $100, from an apparently reliable seller!) Once the date's passed you are done so better to start the dispute straight away and just take longer to close it. When and only when your item (or refund) arrives should you close a dispute.

Heya!
OK, well that is more encouraging. Reading the Ebay ToS, it seemed like you had to wait. Hopefully it wont come to this.

Why are people already talking about getting their money back from the eBay deal? We are all aware of past issue with release dates...we all know that Ramirez was already pushed back from the original dates given...if the cards aren't released on Friday can't we show some patience and hope they'll be released sooner than later?
Let's wait to see what Mike has to say before people start planning how to get any money back.
...after saying all of that, and I know some people are wondering if I did, but I didn't order from the eBay deal, although I would have if I had the extra cash on hand at that time. If I did order the deal, I know I would try emailing Mike first to receive an answer from him, and I would try to work it out as privately as possible. I wouldn't make it a public bashing...something like that could turn away new players that the game needs if we want it to succeed. I mean, last time I checked we are all fans of the game here and we do want it to succeeed...don't we?
This is only a plea from a fan who wants the game to succeed. I don't want to "thread-jack" this topic, so this is all I have to say about it. If anyone wants to talk about it more, please PM me.
EDIT: I emailed an online distributor who has the release date as 6/15 to see if they have any info about if the set will be released on time. I'll let everyone know what they have to say...

EDIT: I emailed an online distributor who has the release date as 6/15 to see if they have any info about if the set will be released on time. I'll let everyone know what they have to say... Look it's not bashing it's just letting people know because they are imminently approaching the point at which they will have no recourse if they don't receive their product. The parties who can positively influence the public image of the Highlander CCG are Mike and the design team. It's not our responsibility as players to do that work and it's also not our responsibility to censor ourselves to the detriment of new or existing or potential players. When things need to be said for the good of the players I will chip in whether or not it is for the good of the game. Players first, game second in my book. The sets may well come out on June 15, though it seems unlikely given the complete avoidance by Mike or the design team to address the questions. One might also wish to add to that the numerous hints from related parties. I'd love to be surprised I don't mind personally though if Ramirez takes longer, the release schedule was always too quick for my liking anyway. I'm sure there are a number of others who don't mind either. The warnings re eBay have everything to do with the time you can claim a refund in, and nothing more. If Mike wishes to delay Ramirez, he could refund all of the pre-sales people and offer them a bonus if they rebuy it when he is ready to release. That would be a good outcome for many people who aren't in a mad rush for Ramirez. People who purchased the sets do need to be on the ball and make sure they don't lose their money, because they could wait and they could be assured and they could receive their product, but then again they could just lose $383 or $500 odd or whatever depending on how many sets they bought. Opening an eBay dispute is a sensible insurance step and nobody loses unless the product cannot be delivered. I will point out that we don't know if any Ramirez product has been printed, even sample product. If one looks, one can see that the eBay images are digital images not cards.

It's pretty easy to tell. That layout picture is not made from a card photo. It is made from design images.
