We will be hosting several sealed deck tournaments throughout the Kansas City area from December 15 - 17. The first tournament will be held at Table Top in Overland Park at 6:00 pm on Friday December 15th.
The tourneys will cost roughly $20.00 to enter and that will get you a Starter Deck and two Booster Packs. There will also be brand new prize cards given away as well and the winner will be allowed to pick from one of nine new Quickening cards that will be rewarded immediately following the tourney.
I will announce the other opening weekend tournaments as I receive more information.

If I was not getting married next week, I swear I'd drive all the way there from Minnesota for that.

Gregg and Brent are working on those, I would suggest sending him a PM on the forums, posting on Yahoo Groups or an e-mail.

Heya!
Just got home from the tourney.
WOW!!!
There are so many things to say, I will try to arrainge my thoughts in a coherant manner:
1. The cards themselves. These cards are physically different from 1ed. They feel different, look much better and SHUFFLE. These cards are very easy to shuffle.
2. The colation of the starter decks. We had 16 players tonight (enough for 2 simulateous brackets), and to a person, we were happy with what we got in our starters. You get either a persona or a WoC, and cards that support them. You also get some random cards, along with the attacks/blocks and a few toolbox cards (lean & mean, police, investigation, focus, etc). These starter decks are PLAYABLE. Heck, a couple people even got a WoC or persona in thier boosters as well.
3. The persona abilities and thier support cards. These are really cool! They have given what used to be persona abilities to thier support cards instead. For instance, Duncan cant attack areas he just blocked, but with the proper WoC card, he can.
4. The new immortals. I played Grayson tonight, and I LOVE his ability. I took 3rd place in my bracket, losing only to a pair of Xavier decks. Grayson has some KILLER cards. Some of us got a sneak peak at the abilities of the upcoming immortals from the booster set, and they look VERY COOL. This isnt just "the same old game", it has a lot of 1ed in it, but the new cards and mechanics make the game a lot more interesting.
5. Xavier in sealed deck. He is the MAN. He had 3 of the top 4 spots in the tourney. His cards are killer, his ability is really good and the cards you get in the starter for him MAKE SENSE. A well played Xavier deck is TOUGH in sealed deck.
Thats all that has spilled out of my brain at this late hour.
Congrats to "the man from Omaha" who made the trek down here on his day off and walked away with a Quickening and 4 heads.

Thanks for the report prowler? Do you remember any specifics on the cards? Persona Powers and whatnot? Tell you what, I will tell you a couple of the cards I personally have: Grayson Persona - You only lose 3 ability when exhausting. If your opponent took damage during thier last turn, during your May Do/Must Do phase you may remove one card from your opponents Discard from the game. Masters Attack - Grayson (S3) : Special Attack Choose one area on the attack grid for this to cover. You may make your opponent discard the top three cards of thier Endurance. If you do so, this attack is a Power Blow. Gothic Warlord - Grayson (R4) : Event Your opponent takes one damage. Your opponent must discard all Allies from thier hand. Risk Managment - Grayson (R2) : Situation ATTACK: Whenever your opponent plays an attack from thier hand, they must discard one card off the top of thier Endurance for each Risk Managment you have in play. You may only have one Risk Managment : ATTACK in play. (there is also a Risk Managment for defense and special) Dawn Of Time - Event This card's Attributes do not count towards your deck construction limit. You may discard up to three cards from your hand. Gas Cannister - Xavier St. Cloud : Ranged Attack Ranged Attack (Upper Center Grid) : This attack does no damage. If this attack is successful, your opponent must discard all generic cards from thier hand. Counter : Hugh Fitzcairn Dodge : Duck (Top Grid/Middle Grid) : You may retrieve one card from your Discard and shuffle it into your Endurance.

Sigh.
Sounds like too much fun. Wish I could have been there but I had to work. Anybody know if TableTop has decks for sale. I'm contemplating a quick run over to OP to pick some up.
