Off Hand Weapon of Choice question

Off-hand weapon of choice cards like Shield say "You may play this Weapon of Choice with another One-Handed Weapon of Choice."

There's a few cards like St. Anne's Broadsword that say "Before the game begins you must declare whether you're using the Broadsword as a one or two handed weapon."

Can you use an off-hand weapon of choice with a "one or two" hand weapon of choice, assuming that the second weapon is being used one-handed? Or does the second weapon need to be a one-handed only weapon?
