Ok, admittedly I'm one of the newer Highlander players around here.
So lastnight I was just opening my 2ed boosters and starters and the cards look great. I liked a lot of the cards, seems like beta is a great set.
However, after a read through of the online rules I noticed that they not only do not tell you what color of gem is for what attribute, but they do not tell you how persona gems affect deck building.
Most of the 1e cards I have have no gems, so I'm totally new to them. Can someone help me out here?

I believe the rules are still in flux, but it's pretty darn close to the original Master Format deck construction rules with just a couple fo tweaks.
Take the master format document (can be found in the Files sectionof the Yahoo list..) and change the following things -
1) Total of attributes = 25 not counting the Master Stat. (Old total was 22) 2) YOur first set of basics are no longer free, meaning they do count toward your gem totals.
There is a maximum deck size now, but you won't realistically hit it unless you are playing a Generic immortal. If you maximize your Master cards, then you will only hit 68-70. (You can fill in the remaining five or six with cards like Dawn of TIme that do not count toward your gem limits, though).
Basically, read the master format deck construction section and you will get the idea.
