OK in the rules is says "In any turn in which a player begins his Attack Phase at zero Ability, his opponent wins the game"
Why would he die then and not at ability adjustment?

Because it gives the opponent a chance to take your head while you're at 0 ability.
In 1e there was a pair of edges call There Can Be Only One that could only be played when your foe is at 0, and made a headshot either unblockable or undodgeable. It would surprise me greatly if something similar didn't show up in 2e. That final catch phrase is just too common, and usually accompanied by someone sitting patiently and exhaustedly waiting for their head to be lopped off.

OK in the rules is says "In any turn in which a player begins his Attack Phase at zero Ability, his opponent wins the game" Why would he die then and not at ability adjustment? Let me explain it thusly - Player A has 10 ability Player B has 2 ability During Player B turn, he takes an attack, lowering him to 0 Ability during his Ability Adjustment Phase. He now has no cards in his hand. Now it is Player A turn, he plays an Upper Left Attack along with a Head Shot, then draws 2 cards. It is now Player B turn again. He may now exert for a defense against the Head Shot. If he successfully defends the attack, he enters his Attack Phase and the game ends, since he has 0 Ability. Hope this explains things. Prowler7

Too slow! Yeah, but you went back and added more to your entry after I made mine. I remembered There Can Be Only One and wanted to chat about it. Master's Advance + There Can Be Only One (Unblockable) is a favorite of mine.
