We had 4 players show up for our 1E Regional. We do not have too many 1E guys. Here is the list of players:
Chris - Kurgan Jon - Methos Geoff - Duncan Ish - Richie
Round 1: Ish (Richie) vs. Geoff (Duncan) Chris (Kurgan) vs Jon (Methos)
Duncan wins via Headshot (very poetic) Methos wins by Living Forever
Round 2: Duncan defeats Methos Kurgan has no opponent
Round 3: Duncan waits for a challenger Methos defeats Kurgan
Finals: Duncan defeats Methos via Headshot
Your 1E Regional Champion is Geoff Colman!!!
Current Southwest winners are:
2E - Chris Donati 2E L&M - Jon Givetz 2E Sealed - Wilson Fisher 1E - Geoff Colman

Maybe if you had called it a Type One instead of 1E more would have been encouraged to play. 1E implies you have to use 1E cards, whereas Type One is for cards that are not bugged. In areas where people own few or no 1E cards, Type One is actually REALLY viable as a format because everyone is on more of an even playing field card wise as opposed to areas where a lot of 1E cards are still played. The difference between Type One and Type Two is in deck construction (no gems) and cards you cant use ( cards). There are enough cards now in 2E that you can play Type One competitively without owning a single black border card.

Most people are still astounded that 1E cards look and feel so much better then 2E cards. Playing them together often leads to people questioning the makers of the game about the quality of the product and we wouldn't want to do that. All hail the design/rules team!!!
