Predictions first as always, although they may be a bit off. Flu made its way to Casa de Zombie this weekend, so we are all a bit off.
The Dude: I know it is probably not set in stone, but I am going to lean towards Luther. The main reason is that my powers of clairvoyance do not cut through the haze of a fever that well.
Van the Man[ager]: Although he played Malick last week, I think he may have tweaked it a bit to run against us again. I know we did make some suggestions on the build.
The German Kid: Marcus. I know I have been calling Marcus with him for a while, so I think eventually I will be right. Also, I am pretty sure I traded him the last cards he was looking for to put in his deck.
Zombie Joe: I would like to say volume 2 of the Rock Stars of Highlander, but it really depends on what I can throw together tonight in my fever delirium. We shall see.
Event report to follow... hopefully tonight.

I went 3 for 4 this week. Granted I will always get one since one of the predictions is MY deck for the week.
The German Kid - He did in fact use his Marcus Octavius break weapon deck. He did go for the strength disarms since I did only trade him one toughness disarm, which was his first.
The Dude - Did decide on running his Luther Stones deck. I have never seen Luther attack so little. He gets out his crystals and the stone and waits to hit you with an unblockable (possibly undodgable) head shot.
Zombie Joe - With no time to device volume 2 of the Rock Stars of Highlander, I had to use a tweaked version of Tommy Gun. To my detriment, I forgot to add the two Misfortune cards, which cost me greatly.
Van the Man[ager] - He had not figured out how to modify Malick yet, so he tweaked out his General Katana deck a bit. This was one of the decks that The Dude was worried about, but none of us could have called.
Round One - Tommy Gun vs. Luther's Stones... FIGHT!
During this game, he only managed to get out two crystals due to the misuse of his Find Object pregame, and a number of exertions he used to defend a rather beefy Lunge from Hugh. He did manage to clear my hand of all empathy and agility cards once, but he was already too far behind.
Final attempt for the head was moot as all of his upper defenses covered all three upper grids. I think he pulled two viable defenses in his exertion.
Tommy Gun 1-0 no heads
Round Two - Tommy Gun vs. Roman Steel... FIGHT!
Here is where not having the Misfortune cards hurt me. I could not misfortune his hilt away, or the Kyala that kept countering my extra weapons. Unable to get my weapon back, I managed to get to a point where I was not drawing any more cards, so getting an extra weapon was not an option.
It was only a matter of time before I ran down. But I did not lose my head.
Tommy Gun 1-1 no heads
Round Three - Tommy Gun vs. General Katana... FIGHT!
During this game the multiple shots of 4 strikes a turn ending with a Combination Lunge kept Katana on his toes until towards the end of his endurance he took a 6 point Lunge. That tipped the scales a lot. Until that point there was only about a 4 card difference in hand sizes.
Katana fell, but an Evade saved him his head.
Tommy Gun 2-1 no heads.
End Results The German Kid 2-1 one head taken Zombie Joe 2-1 no heads The Dude 2-1 no heads Van the Man[ager] 0-3 no heads
The most exciting game of the night had to be Luther's Stones vs. Roman Steel. The German Kid stopped attacking, afraid of an unblockable head shot coming his way (since no dodge he ran covered the upper grids). With all of the stones out, he ran Thomas down to the final head shot.
One exertion would determine the winner. If The Dude took the German Kid's head, he would win... otherwise The German Kid would take top prize. He managed one upper guard in his final exertion to save his head and the tournament.
Next week is still under discussion. We may do Lean and Mean, or we may stick with constructed. We will announce it here soon.

May I add these very important statistics:
Broken Weapons
The German Kid - 0 Zombie Joe - 1 The Dude - 1 Van - 1
Breaking a weapon almost feels as good as delivering a headshot ;D

And since the smack talk is coming down, allow me to mention we played a second game with the Misfortunes in the deck and I schooled him that game.

With Disarm/Break Weapon coming on strong, it makes using 2 weapons very viable.

Indeed! I almost considered a second weapon for just that reason.

Yes the shield did come in handy and not for what I had intended it for.

Yes the shield did come in handy and not for what I had intended it for. Yes, not only do you block those pesky ranged attacks, you can still take there head with it.
