Hey everyone,
So I called dibs this week, so I'm writting my report. Go me. Lets start this off. I retooled Greyson so now he is actually good...or so I thought. After a day of disc golfing, we head over to the comic shop and soon enough, get the tournament started. We have 8 peolpe
Round 1: Carlos playing Hugh
So we start back and forth. I get the Risk Managments online pretty quick. I am able to keep Who? off the board and most of his locations and other situations off the board. Slowly I am able to burn him through a few exhausts for the win. However, I am just glad I didn't LOOSE my head.
1-0 +1
Round 2: Chris playing Rameriez
I know exactly where this is going. His deck is pretty thick, however, I am able to get my 3 Risk Managements off within the first 3 turns. The probelm is that he hate some pre-game hate for the Band of Brothers, along with the pre-game nexus. So the first time through his deck was nothing. The second time through he lost 5, but it was much too little too late. Again, didn't LOOSE my head.
1-1 +1
Round 3: Tony playing Katana
Oh man. This was rough. Direct damage everywhere. This was quick an painful. Also the Hunter prone didn't help much either. No LOOSING my head though.
1-2 +1
Round 4: Jon playing Gallen
This was a rough and tumble little match. He kept throwing out dirty tricks. However I got a lot of dodges to open it out. I was also able to get a few Risk Managements out, he kept nuking the attack one. I kept his master strength's out of the game. It came down to the wire, but I was able to pull it out.
Cool, hoepfully I'll be able to get a deck list up, but yeah, thanks for reading guys.
Just remember....read your cards cause you might cheat someone out of a win,
Wilson

Thanks Fishy...so we had 8 people turn out for our 7th week straight of tournament play. 4 rounds of Swiss which as you can see gives clear placement of each person. Here are the results:
Cat (Fasil) 3-1 +4 Tony (Katana) 3-1 +3 Me (Ramirez) 3-1 +2 Ryan (Duncan) 2-2 +3 Wilson (Grayson) 2-2 +2 Brian (Kastagir) 2-2 +1 Carlos (Hugh) 1-3 +1 Jon (Anthony Galen) 0-4 +0
My only loss came against Cat and it was a doozy of a head shot. Disarm cheese is disarm cheese, and my gems on exertions were not working for me at all. I was really hoping to run into Tony's Katana deck to see how my anti-damage/watcher cards would stack up. However it was not meant to be. I think Tony wants a rematch since both he and Cat misread the Hunter situation that deals a damage if the player playing it is disarmed or prone. Cat thought it worked the other way until I informed him in round 3, that it only affects the player playing it. It didn't help me any, but that knowledge might have given Tony a fighting chance. Always read all the cards kids...never assume!!! Mad props to Ryan who in his 1st tourney went 2-2 with a Duncan deck Jon loaned him.
See you next week, D

Yup, I screwed up . . . my bad - however the deck is now in pieces and back in the box to never be seen by me playing it again. I've had my fill of cheesy decks at least like that and won't be using them again in the near future. Unless of course there's some MAJOR tournament then .............. maybe. Tony, I apologize to you for not reading the card correctly, in hindsight, if we had, then I would almost bow to your win because you would've beaten me. Chris, thanks for showing me that and I am still waiting for that email . . . also, Ryan won against me via Duncans Master Headshot and only allowing me a 2 card exertion. cudos to Ryan though for the win the best way possible Wilson, psh! Carlos & Jon, next time we will meet . . . and :grr: . . . And I apologize as well for the cheese of the deck. Cat

I love my General Katana Decks...the self appointed master of cheese like to see other cheesey people enjoy some wine with their cheese.

What's up guys? So, may I assume this coming weeks tourney will be sealed? Most importantly, the tournament in 2 weeks (Oct. 11th)? If this is to be constructed do you know what the format will be yet and if so, will there be prize support for the Oct. 11th tourney. I would like to roadtrip it up from LA for the next constructed if possible.
Also, if there are any players in the Los Angeles area who would be interested in car pooling up to Santa Barbara to play, pm me. I am sure the group in Santa Barabara would welcome more players.

Hi all,
I'm the one who played the king of cheese General Katana. I set it up as L&M with 6 Ironsides, and my pre-games were +1, and Horton. Let me say, I exhausted every game. On to the matches.
Game 1 Jon, I feel bad. My plays went Hunter Prone, Reno... two events every turn till the end.
Game 2 Cat, I have very few hard feelings over this game. 1st I picked up the miss played card and read it and still let it be played wrong. 2nd If I had made one good play throughout the course of this game I probably would have won. At least I didn't LOOSE my head.
Game 3 Wilson, Playing against grayson I thought I would have trouble, I didn't. Lived with risk management for the most part, kept only one in play and didn't worry about it too much. Wilson also had remove a Sit pregame but worked around that.
Game 4 Brian, Kinda like Jon. Just rolled.
So yeah, cheese may make one more local appearance then be retired from local play. Looking forward to making Slan L&M Beserk... 10 power blows FTW!!!!
A. Gin
P.S.: I'm thinking of naming the deck "The Corner Cheese Shop."
Edit: Added P.S.

Tony,
Yeah, I agree you should have one - it was my fault for not reading the card - or misreading the card as well.
Regardless, a game played in hindsight and I still think you would have won if you didn't misplay a turn earlier.
