Due to the spreading of the zombie virus, we were missing a player, and scheduling has removed a couple more. So we played best two out of three round robin. Honestly we only counted the first game, but we wanted some extra play time.
The field of Immortals were...
General Katana (Van)
Richie Ryan with Horton (Thomas)
Unholy Xavier (Joe)
Round One: Richie vs Xavier
Richie is a tricky little so-and-so, but in the end, not even the surprise appearance of Corda or a shooting blade from the hilt of his rapier was going to save him from the tingling wisps of poison gas. Of course, it didn't hurt that For Tomorrow We Die kept Xavier's hand size up to near starting levels even after taking some damage.
(Note: The second game was a lot more close, coming down to a score of 0-2 I believe, although Xavier's hand size was at least 4 or 5.)
Xavier's Record 1-0
Round Two: Richie vs General Katana
This one I did not pay attention to as much. Someone had to watch the front counter! From what I hear the first game was a windfall in Richie's favor and while the second weighed heavily in Richie's favor it was not quite as one-sided as the first game.
Xavier's Record 1-0
Round Three: Xavier vs General Katana
This round was only a single match for a number of reasons. One was a shipment that needed to be entered into stock. The others included a defining weakness in the General Katana deck we identified, and that game one was pretty brutal.
The poison was fairly harsh, and Xavier ended the game with a 20 card hand. General Katana kept coming up with the wrong cards in his exertions to keep the plots out of play.
Xavier's Record 2-0
Unholy Xavier was using Stalk, the Unholy plot, the katana, his hilt, and poison gas. Additionally I had the Hunter:Prone with the sniper and the situation that hurts my opponent if I am prone or disarmed.
Basically it was a build off of the preconstructed decks, but using the damaging plots and the hilt to sack them and increase damage.
