Hey, this is how we house rule Luther's Persona.
"You may block power blows without an exertion. When making an exertion, any number of cards may come from your hand instead of your endurance."
Sort of an Inner Strength Motif.
Just wondering if anyone knows what the original power the guy was supposed to have, and if anyone else has a House rule for Luther.

Luther could make free power blocks. That was it. (or at least that is what I remember)

Yep, the power on his card (free power blocks) was all it was ever meant to be.

The Luther who is released in Season 2 will have the free power block ability, as well as a new secondary ability. He will be usable in Type 1.

I'm feeling generous today, so here's your first spoiler. Luther's additional ability will be that when he exerts for a defense, he may play any number of defenses found in that exertion.

Free powerblocks and multiple defenses from exertions.....I like it. Does that mean Luther can play those multiple defenses found in an exertion against one attack? For example. My opponent plays an upper center slash. I exert for a defense and get a left guard and right guard. Can I play both of those defenses in conjunction with each other to cover the slash, or is the ability intended to let me play the defenses seperately to try and catch any attacks that might have slipped though?

No, they are still just normal defenses, but if his opponent played 3 attacks against him, he would be maybe be ab le to find a defense for each. Its mainly to help him against multiple attack.

What if I use Generic Master's Block? Would I then be able to combine the defenses in the exertion into one defense?

No, because the Master's Block card specifically says the Basic Blocks must come from your hand

He is the first Type 1 immortal we have remade that needed an upgrade. Amen to that. Please tell me Luther's Continuity made it back in (hopefully with a different ability) That would be fun.
