Would it be possible for the design team to appoint someone(s) to update the official rulebook for 1st edition. Combining the rulebook and the addendum together into one source? Of course they would have the ability to override and change/refine any part of it before it became official. I think this would be a great idea. What says you design team members?

OR is the new rulebook going to be comprehensive enough to include Type One as well?

I would bet that they are just concentrating on the 2nd edition rulebook.

As far as assigning a person/persons to update the Type One rules would be a very good idea indeed. I know we have had certain individuals that have brought in outdated versions of the Handbook only to be dismayed that they are in the wrong. I know that long ago any changes made to the rules were not official until approximately one week after the change so that everyone recieved the copy or notification of the changes which made it fair for everyone, regardless of local. Also the city reps, regional reps, company employees and tournament directors all had the most up to date versions of the rules since they were the judging decision regardless of any arguing players, they had the info to back them up. If a rule came out right before a tourney then it would not take effect since it could affect peoples deck ideas or design at that time. Instead, everyone was notified and the new rule took effect at the next tourney. But that was also in the days when company employees were not allowed to play in a tourney. It would be good to get back to these ways as they worked. The employees playing is irrelevant in my opinion, however the rest is not. Headswillroll
