I was doing a little research project and know at one time there was an addendum or errata on who was in what group whether it was reporter, pedestrian, police, watcher, bystander, watcher, watcher field agent and so on. Does anyone know where this list might be found? The rule book/handbook/addendum only covers a few of them, as there are others that were obviously part of one of these groups, such as Matthew Mccormick, Lt. John Stenn, Carolyn Marsh, David Blake, and so on. Are we to speculate that if they were obviously part of a given group such as Lt. John Stenn was a cop then would he be considered part of the police group the same way that Linda Plager was put into the reporter group? If this is so then where does David Blake fit in since he was obviously nobody's ally? Headswillroll

Grouping occurs when there is a common term in the wording. The word that defines the group has to occur in the Title, subtitle, type or subtype.
So to be a Police card, the word Police must appear in one of those. So Police escort would be a police card. A fictional card called Arrest with a type line stating Event: Police would also be a police card.
The allies that you list are not part of any of the groups you mention unless the top condition is met. The exception to this is that 1E had a backwards Errata for Situation: allies that states that all cards with a proper name as a title are considered to be allies.
So.. Matt McCormick - Not a police card, but is an Ally. John Stenn - Not a Police card, but is an Ally. Carolyn Marsh - not anything (she was a book author..) but is an Ally. David Blake - Not a police card, but is an Ally Linda Plager - Errata'd to be Event:Reporter in the Tin set; and she is an Ally..

Thanks Thorr for your input. I have found what I was after in an old copy of the Castle News. It was a list of the reporters, bystanders, and pedestrians, before the errata came out. Makes you wonder why they did not make a police grouping though. oh well. Headswillroll

Perhaps they should have made an "annoying person's group", I would put David Blake and Kate in that one. ;D Headswillroll I will say however the actor that played Dakid Blake was pretty good in Scrubs and "Are We Done Yet".

Makes you wonder why they did not make a police grouping though. oh well. The grouping rules that were established made it unnecessary to define any specific group.
