Here is a question for you. Can you use the 2ed alertness block with an attack that Yung plays as a block? The card reads that it is to be played in conjunction with a block , not play in conjunction with an attack played as a block. Do you think his ability should override the card text? I do since he needs as much help as he can get. Let me know what you think. Headswillroll

When you play an Attack as a Block, it is considered a Block for all intents and purposes (Type is Block, Grid is Blue). Anything you could normally play in conjunction with a Block would also be playable.

It's like turning a Basic attack into a Ranged attack. (Kern's Musket..) Once the attack has been changed, it is now a special attack and follows all the special attack and Ranged attack rules. Since the conversion of the attack to a Block happens during the act of playing the card with YDK, i see no reason you can;t play cards that are meant to be played in conjunction with a Block.
Note, while the card is in your hand, it's an attack only..

true but the text says under the persona. "May play attacks as blocks" That does not say make attacks into blocks.
SInce alertness say play in conjunction with a block I would say it is not valid. But hey I suck a 1e so take that with a grain of salt.

In the purest of logic, I see the validity of your argument. (I wish that Steve Crow was still following all of this stuff..)

I do not believe that an imortal not shown in the movies or show should be alowed in the game. That would be like making imortals out of the names listed on the dvd as teachers. Blah hate Hyoung Dol Kim!

Blah hate Hyoung Dol Kim! Kim was mentioned in the movie (when Kurgan is leaving his hotel room, the TV behind the counter is playing a news story about a guy beheaded in an office building the night before) and they even filmed his scene (as shown in the DVD extras) but it was cut from the final version of the movie. It isnt like they made a persona for Mr. Vassille (the guy beheaded in Jersey and shown only in an artist rendering during Connors interogation).

Thats worse than giving the 3rd member of Kanes little band HIS own persona. At least he was an actual person in the movie.

Not quite a whole persona. He has no cards of his own. Here's the text Watcher Database has for him:
Flavor text: 'Have you seen this guy before, Nash? His name is Vazilek. Osta Vazilek. He's had his head chopped off two nights ago in New Jersey. Do you often go to New Jersey, Nash?' - Lt. Frank Moran
Option 1: You may play this card as a non-Persona Pre-Game. Remove this card from the game to make an addional attack and ignore cards in play that prevent you from attacking this turn.
Option 2: As Persona: You may include one Immmortal Specific card from any number of Personas that are not Reserved or Signature in your deck. You may include one Immortal Specific card from up to 8 Personas that are not Signature in your deck. Normal restrictions still apply. If a card controlled by your opponent forces you to discard cards from your hand, discard the same number of cards from your opponent's hand at the beginning of his next turn. You may include up to 4 Master cards in your deck.
He has a quickening, but Watcher database doesn't have the text for the MLE Qs.

Heya!
So they made him a mix between Ritchie and a generic persona? That is very odd.
