I was wondering how many people in the Kansas City area would be interested in playing in a tournament in honor of a fallen player. The person I am speaking of is Gene Taylor. He passed away about a year or so ago. Gene loved playing Highlander. At the last tournament at A to Z we had mentioned maybe doing something. I got word to a friend of his and Gene's dad, Myril. They both said they would be interested in playing.
The tournament would definitely have to be type 1, and maybe even not allow any of the new cards that are type 1 legal. From what I remember his favorite immortals were Ritchie, Kurgan, Methos, and Generic BOB. He also liked to play disarm decks. So I was thinking that maybe we could come up with a theme, maybe a Generic Bob tournament or something.
Let me know what everybody thinks, so I can let Myril Taylor know.
Dallas, don't want to step on your toes so I thought maybe you could run this at A to Z in April.

Heya!
I think a Generic/Ritchie only tourney would be a great idea to honor Gene.

Are you finally following Jerry Shattenburgs idea and researching a new villain for the Highlanders who hails from Sweden nicknamed THe Lowlander? ;D
