Well, I am happy to say that the Kansas City area is still a tough place to play. The level of competition by the old school players and the newer players was very impressive. To all old school players, it reminds me of the Chien/Prickett days. Anyway, I don't know all of the personas played but do recall Duncan, Slan, Grayson, Hugh, Cierdwyn, Methos, Cassandra, Luther, and Annie. Sorry I can't remember the others, Dallis has the information, perhaps he can update this. The biggest disappointment of the evening was that Tim and Crew never showed up, not even to run it after several statements were made that said they would. However, even without them we had eleven players, and I believe everybody left with a little knowledge of their own, if not a prize. There were quickenings galor attached to decks but the quickenings did'nt help their users make it to the final match. Third place went to Jeremy Squire, which definately deserves credit, with a Slan deck that was very brutal. Second place went to Steve Rice, who played a speed demon Hugh deck. First place went to Jim Black with an Annie Devlin deck that left a lot of jaws dropped. Jim's deck will be posted on crow's fan site later today for those that are interested. All in all I would say that the level of play in Kansas City still has a high bar. One thing for sure, the people are interested in playing Type one tournaments just as much as Type two, and that came from everybody that was there, because they liked the versatility of play. By the way has anyone gotten an "official" excuse why Tim and crew didn't show to A to Z last friday? Headswillroll
