So i got my box of Gathering Starters today, and I got a total of 46 rares and two Ultra Rares (premiums). Here is my pull:

Overall not a bad pull. Since i already had most of the Personas i wasn't too upset about not pulling any. Two Premiums for the box is fine by me. Would have loved to pull that connor one though. It is obvious to me now that to get ME cards the starters are the way to go (not like i've seen any gathering boosters online in a long time anyway) The ME rares were almost split between immortal specific cards and generic, which was great. And all the connor cards just boosted me that much closer to a full play set of him. And the few Kurgan cards that i got were enough to satisfy me for the moment. I'll probably be ordering another box sometime soon, and i'll post those pulls as well.

Is this pull pretty standard? I'd love to hear any thoughts on the pull, comments on the distribution, etc. that anyone might have.

Sounds pretty good John . As there should be 2 Rares per pack that equals 48 with the Premiums . Beta 2nd edition has had collation problems not previous GAthering , 4Horsemen , or Arms and Tactics but what I did notice about A&T and 4H is that it took 5 or 6 boxes to get a Crystal and in 2nd Edition Beta got Crystals alot easier . So you win some and lose some , but in the end 2E is working on collation problems and here is to hoping they fix those problems.

well here is the math i did for my pull. twelve starters per box, at three rares per starter makes 36 rares, yet i got 48 with premiums as you stated. so that makes it an even four rares per starter! Not bad for 25 bucks. If the collation is similar in A&T starter boxes, i'll be picking up one of those as well. though i'm sure that's not the case.
