Heya!
I have heard recently about a mythical promo card for Xavier. It was put out during the 1ed era, but I have yet to find out what it was called or what it did. Does anybody know what I am talking about?

Were they talking about the persona from the Tin Set or his quickening? If not I have no idea what it might be. Do you know what it did?

The person I talked to didnt know what it did, he had only heard about it. Its effect was something like forcing your opponent to burn through thier Endurance.

I think he may be misremembering or misled. I haven't seen all the cards but I've read through the lists and been on the mailing lists since almost day one and that doesn't ring any bells. If it were real and that rare I think we'd see people wanting to trade or buy it (like with Director's Cut events).

There was a plot (in 4H or A&T) that when completed forced your opponent to discard through their entire deck and exhaust. It wasn't a promo, just a normal 3 part plot.. but being a plot... I could see a correlation to Xavier in someone's mind.

Cull the Weak. I don't think it was a plot though, it just behaved like them (3 parts with the last bit being an event). I don't have cards handy to check, but the watcher database doesn't mention it being one.
There was also the Cat and Mouse plot, one version of which made them discard cards. Not a promo or Xavier card, but might have been the source.

Cull the Weak is a trio - 2 Situations: Tired (Players discard 2 cards from endurance for every special they play), then Weak (Players Discard 2 from endurance for every card they play) and then an EVENT - Exhausted, at the beginning of next turn all players discard top card of endurance until they exhaust.
It does play like a plot with having to progress each one. Sure sounds like the ability of the mythical xavier card.

The only Xavier promo card released was from the Raven set. Can't remember the exact name of it now but it was something like Mercenary henchmen. it was a trap card which made you take damage if a location came into play.

For the purposes of 1E versus 2E tournaments, are the cards from the Raven sets (including promos) considered "legal" for either one? I've seen the discussion for 1E and 2E tournaments, but no mention of how the Raven sets figure in.

Per Tim SMall, except for the traps and time cards the raven sets are legal for 1e. They can't be legal for 2e because they've got the wrong backs and no gems.
