For those that are not aware, this forum is for the Type One Format, which includes 1ed / The Raven (except time and trap cards) / and 2ed cards that are not bugged for Type Two only. This thread is to discuss any Errata or Rules Changes that have either been put into effect by the company or discuss possible changes to be requested for this format. Since the resurrection of the game the rules of this format are the same as 1ed with the exception of rules or changes made by the Company that specify that they apply to Type One Format. There have been two changes that I am aware of since the acceptance of the Type One Format. The first is that Master Swordsman is now dicarded if you are either forced to discard an attack or a block. You are not allowed to switch it anymore so you can keep it. This was decided on by the company due to the wording on the card (Attack/Block) and game mechanics. The other is the resolution of events. Basically in a nutshell, all events resolve during certain phases depending on the event. If the event is removed from play prior to the phase that the event would resolve in then there is no effect. This was decided on by the company due to the wording on different cards (cannot list all at this time) and game mechanics. Headswillroll

The first has not been properly replied to, so it's not a change yet.
The second is still in debate too.

The first has not been properly replied to, so it's not a change yet. The second is still in debate too. What do you mean? It seemed the rules were pretty clearly stated by the Design Team and was stated it applied to Type One as well as Type Two. Heck, in regards to the first ruling, they told us that at the local Con while we were playing a Type One game. The second was also passed down to us from the Design Team themselves, so I really dont see where the debate is. Now, if you want to debate it with them, thats different, but I dont know if you are going to change thier minds.

The two rule changes I posted above are for the Type One and Type Two formats only, NOT 1 EDITION . These rules changes were given to us in formal correspondence whether it was verbal (two members of the company)or in writing and we were told by the company as "OFFICIAL". In both cases the company clearly stated that these rules changes or updates were to affect Type Two and Type One formats only and NOT 1ed in any way, shape, form, or fashion. I am to assume that when they do release a rulebook that on certain rules or errata (regardless of it being a 2ed rulebook) it will probably have an asterisk or something indicating which rules or errata will affect Type One format. The main reasoning for the changes are since Type One is implementing 2ed cards into the format some of the Type Two rules must follow the cards. There are certain cards designed for certain reasons and these rules changes are updates to the 1ed rules for Type One and Type Two formats only, and reflective of those certain cards and certain reasons. This is the reason this forum was asked for, because there are going to be updated rules or changes. This format is totally separate from 1ed and should be for obvious reasons. The hope is that this forum will keep a dividing line between the 1ed and Type One so that there is a place to discuss different formats with less confusion. Headswillroll

The first has not been properly replied to, so it's not a change yet. The second is still in debate too. Debate with who? The reason I wanted to get these out in the open was so that everyone was on a fair playing field. These were given to us as "official" for Type One and Type Two format regardless of who they notified of the change first. Until the company puts something (anything) into print we cannot sit and say it is not official because it is not in black and white like days of old as an excuse because we don't like the change. If we receive correspondence from the company stating that it is "official" then we will print, copy, and relay the information to our players accordingly, so that no one is left in the dark. Don't take offense to this post but we did follow up with confirmations and verifications prior to informing our players of the changes, regardless of our opinions of these changes. We also keep record of all changes for future referencing at conventions and such. We also in our regular tournaments DO NOT drop changes in our players laps. We will give a one tourney forewarning prior to any rule change or errata and make sure all of our players are aware of the situation. Headswillroll

This is errata concerning the newer version of the Gladius released in the Season Two set.

It must have been an early version of our texting somehow slipping through the cracks. =/ It is intended to be that when you make a power blow or power block, you add 1 card to the exertion. If you are Slan or Luther, and making them without an exertion at all, then this would have no effect. I will update the erata list soon, and that is one of the cards that will be worded more clearly.
