Well, it's out and I've seen it. Twice. In Highlander sequel terms it's a smash (which translates in the non-highlander world as "it doesn't suck"). I was entertained and the second viewing was spotting for what it might contribute to the game. Two Immortals.
That's it, really. Marcus Constantine and Colin MacLeod. Both are two thousand plus years old and swing a mean sword. Marcus has an immortal sidekick but I don't think she really gets enough scenes to warrant a persona. But that could just be me, Khabul Khan got one as well as YDK so why not? I would love to see cards with the animated characters on them, it would be a neat palette contrast to photos/stills from film and tv. And the art is much better than the comic.
There is also an opening fight with some joker named Maleek with a chainsaw/sword and you could extract enough shots from it to make a decent persona. He claims to be a thousand years old and from the size of his quickening (they are HUGE in this film!) he just might have been. I won't spoil anything more, just thought I'd solicit for opinions on if people would like to see the anime movie added to the game. I definitely would.
Thoughts?

Sure it will go well with the Highlander bunnies in the Ramirez set

I also enjoyed the anime and was thinking that the "Chainsaw Sword" would make an awesome WOC. I think we could get 4 personas from the movie...Colin, Marcus, Maleek, & Marcus' female companion (can't remember her name right now). I'll have to watch it again, but am thinking that.....
...Colin would benefit from Toughness (took a few beatings), Empathy (always thinking of Moya), & Resourcefulness (seemed to track down Marcus over time)....
...Marcus would get good Agility (very quick, as is the anime style), Strength (how many swords did he break?), and Resourcefulness (if he can control "new" New York, that's gotta count for something)
...Maleek would have a high Strength count (holding that "Chainsaw Sword" had to give him a good workout) and Toughness (he took how many steps after he lost?)
...Marcus' companion would be very Resourceful (where did she keep those spikes?), possibly a high Agility value (she was battling with samarai in a flashback), and I would think she would be good with objects (the 'chopper towards the end)

I was thinking Colin would have quite a low empathy number since he lied to Moya about seeking revenge just before she died and spent two thousand years doing nothing but hunting Marcus, not caring about anyone or anything else. He even abandoned Debra MacLeod despite the fact that she obviously loved him. I figured his agility would be pretty high too, though everyone in anime land can jump like Spiderman it seems.
Marcus and Maleek would definitely be the powerhouses. I was thinking of the chainsaw sword as more of a hilt for the Great Sword perhaps.
The Japanese woman could have those spikes as Objects that increase the damage of her next successful attack and are then discarded.

Heard from Thorr that the movie was good. Got it ordered from Amazon. Hope to watch tomorrow.

Silas, after thinking about it today at work (don't tell my boss), I was going to change the Empathy rating for Colin to a lower one. Although he was deeply in love with Moya, he didn't get close to anyone else over time. For now, I'll stick with everything else, but that may change when I watch the movie again this weekend...

Just watched it. Offhand, I'd give Colin a low Reason....anybody who gets beaten that many times by the same guy and keeps coming back without a plan can't be too bright.

It was Marcus Octavious. Marcus Constantine was in season 2 and who Nefertiri wanted to kill. =p When I first read this thread I hadnt seen the anime yet, and I was really hoping they didnt just use the same name twice lol

Finally saw it... Awesome... I think Constantine's "break weapon" card should be a Signature event, that your opponent can avoid by making a soft exertion for or by discarding all cards that would avoid attacks or prevent damage. The Doctor, (played by Jim Byrnes!) should be a mortal ally: You may discard this ally to remove any ally your opponent has in play.
