As I stated before, probably some binding legal document will keep him from sharing... but if not, I would be willing to pay for a copy? ;D
I'm just interested in the table dynamic, as the players all want to play immortals, but it is not feasible in a long running campaign as immortals are rarely together that long, unless it is a student/master relationship.
Also, flashbacks and experience points?... flashbacks are what "makes" highlander... but it throws off the continuity with XP.

I disagree, gabe. Duncan, Richie, Amanda, and Methos were able to work together a good long time with out (intentionally) coming to blows. I (as someone who loves long term campaigns) think it's entirely feasible to make a long campaign out of it.
Also, it could be a group of fledgeling immortals that just had their first death, somewhat like Gavriel Larca and his disciples.

You could also play a watcher.

'Touche, I agree, as I have been running my game like that for a while now... but what about the flashbacks and XP continuity?

Doing a modern day campaign was the original idea with a player group having one (Duncan), maybe two, immortals; a few enlightened (Richie before becoming immortal, Tessa); a Watcher (Joe), Mundanes (Charlie DeSalvo).
This can be difficult with players wanting to be the focus or active character, which is usually the immortal.
So we also thought of doing a timeline campaign. Say the campaign begins during the time of the crusades; the party has an immortal, a watcher, and a few enlightens, maybe a mundane; they are all soldiers and in a time when each is just as active as the immortal player would be.
Advancing the campaign, you would have the same immortal, but the other players would change characters to fit the new timeline; or maybe one of the enlightened/mundanes became immortal as well.
I kind of prefered this over a bunch of flashbacks, but flashback encounters still had their usefullness.

Wow, that really seems cumbersome...
I have done a lot of work improvising on a highlander rpg and have found some concepts that work well. I will share these here for the highlander community in general and maybe the designers will take any ideas they like. I just want a good game when it comes out.
1. Honestly, a good GM will work with any character types that the players decide on... (immortal,enlightened,watchers...etc.)
2. "Age" is an advantage that immortal characters can take for free. This advantage can be taken multiple times and is free, the more times it is taken...the older the immortal is. For each time they take this advantage...they get points to buy more advantages or skills. The downfall is that the player begins with an XP defecit for each time they take this advantage.
3. My game is set in modern day, but I am a fan of flashbacks. So to remedy this... Players players begin with 2 flashback points, they can buy more later or be awarded them for good roleplay. But a player can spend a flashback point and choose an era of time that his immortal lived through and a place in the world. Any other immortal characters that were alive back then, could make a cameo in that flashback...any who are not old enough or not immortal, could play npc humans for that "flashback session". But xp, I award at the end of session...regardless of whether it was a regular or flashback session... and I award xp based on roleplay, not whether a player was using their character or an npc.
I like my flashback system because it allows players to change the setting of the story if they don't like it and it can be a change of pace. Well, that's mostly what I've been doing.

1) Not that I've heard of, but you never know... there seems to be a lot of interest. 2) I have gotten a hold the old Billy Littlepage et al Highlander rpg prototype via my local game store, who just happened to have a couple of copies that had been sitting there for 10 years or so. I believe this is the Thunder Castle Games one you are talking about, it was played at a number of conventions in 1995/1996 and appears to have had input from everyone who was anyone. Dallis will also have it I haven't played it yet tho and probably wont. I don't know why I bought one for myself really since I don't roleplay any more I guess because it is a rarity, and I got a bit cheaper price to buy both of the copies I would be prepared to sell it if I can at least recover my cost, but it does have a bit of damage to one corner... It is quite interesting as a document for the Highlander fan even, with chronology and stuff in it.

There are no (officially announced) plans for anyone to produce a RPG since the Rapid POD deal fell through.
