Who?
Hugh Fitzcairn R2 | 1 Empathy
SITUATION: During your May Do/Must Do Phase, select one Situation or Plot in play. For the remainder of your turn, you may ignore the effects of that Situation or Plot.
Tell us what you think?

Nice. Expecially if he's got some cards to combo with it of his own.

I can see Hugh Honor Bound becoming popular in mixed format.

Potentially a powerful card, looks good. Perhaps this is picking nits, but should it not say "must do/may do" rather than "may do/must do" so it synchs up with the turn sequence?
Question: I'm glad Fitz is in the set, how did you guys decide which immortals to put in?

This time around all the immortals released in an edition with be coming out based on their appearence in either the movies or TV sets. For this first set we are dealing with subject matter from the first season of the TV show. After watching the episodes over and over, we believed that the six in this set were the most colorful/important.
In the next expansion set on Jan. 15, there will be two more immortals released that appeared in the first season of the Highlander TV show.

I like how each release will focus on either a single TV season or movie.
I'm getting more psyched for this as each day passes...

Ya, it should..but the sequence is actually May Do/ Must Do. We are currently editing the rules as I have only glanced at the rule book as the biggest concern was getting this card set and finalizing the next set. This weekend I will have an up to date Rule Book up.

Umm, I thought it was always "Must do/May do"...otherwise you could do optional effects (may do's) that may get you out of a "must do" effect your opponent generated the turn before. BIll

You've always been able to do optional effects (edges are the main example) that would negate or alter a may do effect. Essentially the order was Must Do (and some kinds of Mya Do) followed by May Do.

Right that's what I meant. Stuff you "must" do comes before stuff you "may" do I always thought of them as seperate phases: Phase 1: Sweep Phase 2: Must/May do Phase 2a: Must do Phase 2b: May do

For what it's worth, the old handbook has Must Do and May Do as sub-phases under the Sweep Phase. They are listed in Must Do/May Do order, and that's how I've always heard it referenced.

Yeah, that was the order, except that you could actually play "may do" effects during your must do subphase if they had an affect on another must do. It wasn't incredibly confusing, but did take a couple of reads to understand. If the phases are swapped that issue goes away.
