Persona Profile: Xavier St. Cloud (Xaiver to his friends)
You may include twice the restriction of any Plots in your deck. Once per turn, you may discard a plot from your hand to search your Endurance or Discard for a Plot with the same title and put it into your hand.

Overview
Xavier is a cheese (non-combat damage) meister, and has been since the first set in the first edition of the game. He relies on staying alive while gassing his opponent to death and watching his henchmen gun you down. That' certainly not his only means of attack, but it's by far the most common you're likely to encounter when you find yourself in a duel with him.
Persona Specific Cards
Evade: Ecapse : Standard evade.
Evade: Back Away : this card appears to be a myth. It appears on the spoilers, which were drawn from a master list of cards, but nobody has reported seeing one in print.
For Tomorrow We Die : This is by far the most potent of the persona specific plots yet. With it you can fairly easily get a hand size around 22 or 24.
Forethought : an excellent partner for for Tomorrow We Die, making sure you maintain your edge as long as possible.
Gas Cannister : If you go the attack instead of cheese route, a Gass Cannister or 4 can be a great boon, getting rid of blocks, many attacks, investigations, and more. In a cheesier style deck it's hard to find room.
Master Tactician : A lot of the cards this use to target (like Poison Gas) are plots in second edition, but there are still lots of viable cards to combine this with. In a pinch it works great as an extra Forethought or Plan Ahead, giving you more protection.
Mercenary Henchmen : The effectiveness of this card really depends on the opponent, but against some people (like Slan) it might be a near gauranteed three damage). Even against the most agile of brainiacs you're likely to manage to still do a point or two.
Plan Ahead : combining Police and Investigation into a single card, this helps to greatly tighten a deck for apersona that already has so much stuff he wants to cram in.
Poison Gas: Part 1 (fetch a location) is great in that it helps to thin your deck out and also helps ensure your location stays in play so you can fight where you want instead of where they want. Part 2 (2 damage) is the cornerstone of many Xavier decks, whose main goal is to pump as many of these out as possible. Part 3 (knock 'em prone) is a great finisher.
Tactician's Hilt : Whether you go for an attack deck or a cheese deck, the ability to add damage to attacks by discarding plots can be great. For attack decks it's pretty obvious, but for cheese decks you also gain by freeing up a Recon Work by discarding a Poison Gas (which you then retrieve via your power).
The Master Plan :mr:: Xavier lives and breathes plots, as such Master Plan is great for him. If nothing else it lets you stack a few plots out there faster for For Tomorrow We Die. At it's best it means a FTWD and a couple of Mustard gasses hit on the first turn, bumping your hand size by five and lowering theirs by 4 from damage.
Trip : Xavier's trip force them to also discard all standing defenses from their hands, which can be great for when they're just putting out one and holding on to backups.
Generics
James Horton works well alongside Xavier as a source of yet more cheese.
Darius for Amanda Seduce combined with Master Swordsmen can make for some nasty damage when your hilt is out, especially if preceded by a Gas Cannister to remove all Alertnesses and Holy Grounds.
Locations
None of the current Locations scream for Xavier to use them. For the most part it looks like Sea Witch is good, unless you're using a lot of standing defenses, in which case Irish Pub could come in handy.
How to Win
Cheese, cheese, cheese. Get the Mustard Gasses and Henchmen out as fast as you can draw them. An alternate route involves getting out Poison Gas (Recon Work and Mustard Gas) and a Tactician's Hilt, then playing an attack every round to recycle the Mustard Gas. Finally, using the hilt for an actual attack deck could be done, possibly using Darius for Amanda Seduce.
Weapon
Xavier's Hilt requires the katana, but there isn't really a weapon that fits the style of a cheese deck well.
How to beat
Investigate his plots. He'll only get them back, but you've got to slow him down. Foil from set 2 can help a lot in this regard. Likewise you'll want something that stops event damage if your persona has it.
Overall
Xavier is a beast. His lack of respect for the rules of the game make him an immortal to be feared in the series, and his persona in the card game reflects that. 9.0
