---------------
Hunter (HS2-230) (R)
SITUATION
Play only if your opponent has an Ally in play. Take control of one Ally your opponent has in play and place it face up next to this card. While that Ally is under your control, the effects of that Ally are ignored, and your opponent may not remove any of your Locations, Objects, Plots or Situations (other than this Situation) from play. If this card is removed from play both cards go to their Owner's Discard Pile.
---------------
Arms & Tactics (PP-2021)
Place a compatible OBJECT:HILT with a Weapon of Choice in your Pre-Game. The Hilt chosen is not an In-Game card any longer, but an extension of the UPSIDE of the Weapon of Choice. Both cards are considered one Pre-Game.
---------------
OTHER GAME ASPECTS
Defenses that become an attack through the text of the defense cannot be made a Standing Defense.
----------------
Nexus (HTGP-04) and Arms & Tactics (HTG-187) are not RETRIEVAL effects due to game mechanics. (This update takes effect on September 01, 2023.)
----------------
Dirty Trick:
Dirty Tricks cannot by nature be blocked, they do NO damage unless specified, and cannot by any effect be made a Power Blow. You may play Dirty Tricks even if Disarmed, Unarmed, or Considered Disarmed. For example, you do not need a sword to kick, low blow, forearm slam, etc.......
----------------------------
Ally In-Game (replaces current "Allies" entry)
An ally is any NON-PRE-GAME card that depicts a character from the series or movies, and has their name only as the title of the card unless specified in the sub-category of the card. Each player may only have one of each unique Ally in play at a time (for example, you have Lisa Halle in play under your control, and your opponent has Lisa Halle in play under their control.) For an Ally to have a gender, it must have a proper name (James Horton, Sharon Collins, etc...). Any card that is classified as an ally without a proper name or specifies gender in the sub-category or the text of the card, is gender neutral and cannot be targeted by cards that specify a gender.
If your opponent is playing as a persona titled the same as an In-Game card in your deck, you cannot play, or put into play that card using any effect. It is NOT a Restriction. For Example:
Player A - Is using the Duncan Macleod Persona
Player B - Is using the Richie Ryan Persona
Player B - Cannot play or put into play any In-Game card titled Duncan Macleod.
-------------------------------
Personas That Have Pre-Games With The Same Name
Some Personas have different Pre-Game cards that do different effects than the Persona, but share the same Title on the card. The best example is Darius the Persona and all of his optional Pre-Games named "Darius". There are others Like James Horton, Andre Korda, etc....
Using the Darius cards as an example, Pregame cards do not follow the "Ally In-Game" rule (for example: If your opponent is Darius, you cannot play or put into play the Darius Event). So, if your opponent has a Pregame titled the same as your opponent, they may use it normally. For example:
PLAYER A - Is playing as James Horton
PLAYER B - Is playing the James Horton Pre-Game
Player B - Cannot play the "James Horton" event because it goes against the "Ally In-Game" rule. However can play a card that does direct damage and gain the bonus from the Pre-Game James Horton.
-----------------------------
Hilts (replaces current Hilt entry)
These are unique cards that may only be played or put into play to enhance a Weapon of Choice. You may have one hilt per Weapon of Choice you have in your Pre-Game, or one Hilt in play if you are not using a Weapon of Choice in your Pre-game (as it is assumed you have a sword). If you become Disarmed, any hilt you have in play for the weapon Disarmed, is removed from play and placed in the Discard Pile. Hilts attached to a Weapon of Choice using the Arms & Tactics (Meld) are flipped face down just like the Weapon of Choice when it is Disarmed (When you rearm, they flip face up). Your Hilt(s) are not Discarded from play if you are "Considered Disarmed" or have a weapon that is "Considered Broken".
