I understand them wanting to reboot Highlander. But, Connor and the Kurgan is dead. Kurgan in the first movie and Connor in endgame. I don't see a lot of growth offered with this. I think that Highlander should follow the James Bond formula. Every 2 or 3 movies they have a fresh new James Bond. This could happen with Highlander, that way you don't have to kill of a older looking character because he/she is too old. They still have Duncan, Methos, Amanda, etc. Maybe even Jin Ke escaped Kell. There is much to create and grow here with out going back to the beginning with characters that are dead in the movies.
What are your thoughts on the. I mean, Bautista would make an imposing evil immortal to battle, but why start over at the beginning? Let's have fresh adventures.

I agree with dallis. But if a reboot is what it takes to get highlander back on the market, I'm all for it. It might take That to revitalize the card games.

After 29 years I doubt anyone but we diehard few will remember Kurgan and Connor. I think the key is in the backstory and thinking long term, not one film. Remember Connor was supposed to be 18 at the time of his death. Chris Lambert was young, but he wasn't 18 young.
Still think Kit Harrington from Game of Thrones would be a perfect Connor. Just make his backstory first death about 30. This gives you 2 sequels without the actors needing to dye the grey out of their hair. Be nice to see Jim Byrnes make a cameo. Adrian Paul is also about the right age for a Ramirez-esque character if they want a tie to the old series. He could pull off the accent and plumed hat.
Current media=interest in all things Highlander. Including card games.
Just my 2 cents, don't Sniper Shot the messenger.
