Hey guys I was always bothered by the comparison of these two immortals and their outcomes.
Mikey Bellow "The Innocent" Ursa "The Beast Below"
Both immortals were mentally challenged, both killed but Duncan reacted totally differently to them. Ursa killed on purpose and was highly dangerous and willing to fight. But Duncan beat him and sent him to live with monks in a monastery. Duncan showed much more concern and empathy for Ursa and defended without regard for his own safety.
Mikey on the other hand was far less dangerous. He did kill but always by accident. He was gentle and tried to be friends with anyone he met. Richy showed the same type of compassion that Duncan did towards Ursa. But Duncan saw Mikey as a huge problem and did far less to try and help him. THen once things went bad instead of hiding Mikey like they did Ursa Duncan drew his sword because "it had to be done."
These two sides of the Duncan coin can be seen many times. Almost every time it is when Richie acts just like Duncan did in a previous episode. Your thoughts?

Maybe it was that Ursa killed to defend himself and was higher functioning, while Mikey killed an innocent and was tortured by the memory.
