It took nearly 10 years, but the goal is met at last!

I can't imagine what the U.S. has been like for the past 10 or so years. I remember being there in ~2002 after the 9/11. What's the feeling like in the U.S. right now?
Is it joyous, or is it like a feeling of relief? What's the vibe?
I'm from Canada BTW, and it was Major major news here today (even bigger than our election).
Take care guys,
Brad.

Its all the news. People are mostly happy, I think. Most of us are trying to temper our emotions with the realization that this is both a joyous and somber occasion.

Joy that they finally got him, somber that there will probably be some kind of retaliation.

Joy that he's finally dead, a little bit of guilt for feeling joy at the death of another human being, some trepidation about what this means for other Islamic nations, hope that the old, hating extremists are on their way out and the young, vital, forward-thinkers are in, some fear for what kind of retaliation may or may not take place, a bit of hollowness, because he was, after all, only one man, and not the whole force of evil, the One Overlord/Final Boss whose death fixes everything.
