anyone watch Deadliest Warriors on Spike TV? Consone, Anthony Delongis appeared tonight. Fight was William Wallace versus Shaka Zulu. Delongis was the Scottish fight expert and showed how to use a claymore. In one demonstration, he took off 3 heads with one swing.

I missed tonight. Hopefully I can catch it later in the week. One thing I will say about the show is that you should take the historical accuracy with a HUGE grain of salt. In the previous episodes there have been a ton of historical inaccuracies including fighting techniques and weapon construction. With that said, it is a lot of fun seeing people get to whack stuff with various weapons.

Pretty good show, and I had NO IDEA you could actually use a Claymore like that!

I agree on the "historical accuracy": take it with salt, a few shots of tequila, and some lime, then you won't care! It's a fun show, just for the fact that the smaller, physically outmatched warriors usually talk the most trash. Some of the matchups have been pretty funny during the testing, like Green Berets vs Spetznaz. And next weeks match up, according to my trusty tivo, is IRA vs Taliban. Gotta love Spike TV: check your political correctness at the door!

Best quote of the show, "How far can you spit chief?"
I hope they make more of that show, it's bloody good fun!

Yeah, I've watched it a few times and I find the historical stuff to be WAY out there . . . I know a lot about some of them, but they way they did it was just like . . . What, no way . . . I mean seriously some of them would have been so different.
I look forward to them doing more people vs. people and I would like to see a tier set up . . . like start with 20 have them fight, then another 20 have them fight, then fight those vs. those and so on until there was only 1 left.
I did however, enjoy the Pirate vs. Knight . . . guns vs . . . um . . . okay you win.
