The day before Tax Day and we are still trying to chop off each other's heads!
Predictions...
The Dude - Kyala. He said he wanted to try her out full lean and mean style, and it sounds like he is sticking to his guns with that. The German Kid - I am leaning towards Richie Ryan, although he did say he was going to try and bring two decks (one for Van). Van the Man(ager) - If not provided with a deck, I am guessing General Katana will be his persona for the night. If he is I would venture to guess either Richie (see The German Kid above) or maybe Martin Hyde. Zombie Joe - I was considering something off the books. Something we haven't tried before. That might mean a Colin MacLeod deck for me. Not 100% sure yet. Nick the Infected - Huzzah for Spring Break! Also with us moving into Casa de Zombie 2.0 this week, he will be showing more often. My thoughts for him would be either Duncan or Kurgan. Although I suppose he will play whatever I hand him.
As always predictions results and event standings to follow.

Decks/Predictions
The Dude - Kyala Headhuntress The German Kid - Slan with the Rapier Sharp Wit Van the Man - Annie Devlin Zombie Joe - The Kurgan Nick the Infected - noshow
Round One - Zombie Joe vs. The German Kid... FIGHT!
Without the SR Alertness Dodge or any Alertness Blocks, the challenge dirty tricks took their toll on Kurgan. A couple quick exhausts and the ability ranks were at 1 to 4. A close game, but Kurgan kept his head.
Round Two - Zombie Joe vs. Van the Man... FIGHT!
Dropping out the Catwalk, Annie was able to defend against a couple of power blows, but the second Master's Head Shot made it through.
Round Three - Zombie Joe vs. The Dude... FIGHT!
Dropping the Hunter Prone first turn led the tempo of the game as Kyala was sitting with only one copy of any card she needed until later in the game. She managed a block on the first Master's Head Shot, but the second one managed to take her head as she was not prepared for the Catwalk.
Standings Zombie Joe 2-1 with two heads taken The Dude 2-1 with two heads taken The German Kid 2-1 with no heads taken Van the Man(ager) 0-3 with no heads taken

I guess this time I paid the toll for typically not playing decks that are heavy on headshots, since the number of heads taken was the tie-breaker. I was a bit surprised, though, how well my cheap Slan deck worked. I'll post the deck list later on the deck design subsection, since I'm too lazy now to describe how it's supposed to work.
1st round vs. Joe
He managed to get out his Hunter-Prone situation early on. That hurt a quite bit, but thanks to Mark Wells I was at least able to play cards normally. After this it went back and forth with me trying to rid him of attacks and doing some damage here and there, while he was still able to play an attack almost every turn, either from exerting or drawing them into his hand. In the end, I was lucky enough to win.
2nd round vs. Josh
The match started well enough with a successful choke in the first turn (I believe), I knocked him prone in the second turn or so and managed to deal 7 points of damage the turn after. Too bad he played an unblockable headshot after this, which I could not defend against. Unfortunately, my two Alertness cards were in the bottom ten cards of my endurance. I guess I was a bit unlucky here, but of course it's risky if you have to rely on only two cards to avoid unblockable headshots.
3rd round vs. Van
Poor Annie got choked in the first and second turn, from which she could not recover. Since I played Challenge almost every turn, she had no means to avoid Shooting Blade, Overpower and Bloodied Nose.
