Some sad news I found on the Highlander Official Message Boards: French actor Michel Modo, who portrayed the infamous Maurice Lalonde in a dozen episodes of Highlander, passed away on September 25th. He was 71. Michel Modo spent most of his career playing secondary characters in comedies. He is mostly remembered in France for his role in the successful series of movies "Le Gendarme..." and for providing the french voice of several Simpsons characters including Skinner, Monty Burns, Krusty or Sideshow Bob. fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michel_Modo(Sorry, couldn't find any link in English, even his IMDB page hasn't been updated)

To me he will always represent the European version of the Cajun cook that used to be on PBS way back when which is known for his catch phrase. "A little wine, a little more wine, a little bit more wine."
Man that guy was awesome.
