More so than Lambert could do Connor. But I am not sure. There were not a lot of up close and personal shots in Pathfinder where you could tell it was him. He might not be in the two-handed broadsword swinging zone any more.

There is NO way for this to turn out well. Look at the 4 sequels. I rest my case.
I would like them to re-release the original in super THX digital remaster whatever at the same time and see which one makes more money.

Look towards the bright side of it. If they remade it with the same story and ending (Connor winning The Prize), then there would be no bad plot points like in the second movie (or The Source), and we could finally see Yung Dol Kim fight...

well I dont think Clancy Brown is that old. couldn't he do the Kurgan again? Maybe the Kurgan if he were as old as Ramirez, but the Kurgan was supposed to be a YOUNG man, and Clancey isnt so young anymore.

Clancy Brown is 2 1/2 inches taller then Karl Urban. Thats not a huge difference. Karl Urban is still 3 1/2 inches taller then Ewan McGregor, and can look much more built. So the big hulking Kurgan could still be accomplished. As for wrestlers in movies... god no. ACTORS.

While I agree that not all wrestlers are actors, I would not agree that no wrestler CAN be an actor. I think The Rock has done very well as an actor. Also, has anyone watched the first season lately? Or even the second season? These were not stretches in acting...

The Rock is one of the few who transitioned well, and notice that he quit wrestling when he did it. Because he could make it as an actor. And event hough he's good as an action/one liner guy... he will never be taken seriously as an actor most likely.
And I'm not saying the acting was always good in the first seaon or second season of Highlander. In fact, I would say the oppisite, in many episodes the acting was atrocious and the sword fighting worse.
I'm not hoping they make the new movie in line with the way they've done the others, I'm hoping they make it much better, and thus I'm hopoing for good actors, who can do good sword fights.
Ewan McGregor and Karl Urban are the perfect choices in my opinion. =)

I thought after Highlander: End Game they should have had a movie where things seem amuck in the immortal world and Duncan notices he is running into immortals a lot more frequently. It is almost as he is being targeted. Maybe the Watchers think it is the time of the gathering. It has almost been a year since he defeated Jacob Kell.
At the same time you have a group of immortals out searching for a book supposedly full of information about immortals (possibly written by the 1st immortal-we would have to be careful with who we decide has written the book).
Near the end of the movie, the immortals find the book (scroll, parchment, etc...) and are reading it.
During the movie Duncan is fighting for his life against several immortals. With the Watchers you could have another bad@$$ immortal brought into the story line.
At the end of the movie Duncan is fighting the bad@$$ immortal and the group of immortals with the book read that if an immortal is killed on holy ground the immortal who killed someone will be hunted for one year. If the immortal is killed everything will go back to normal, but if the immortal lives past the one year point. At that point, time will reverse itself and the game will begin anew. During the movie you find out the building Duncan took Conner's head was built on an Indian burial ground or a church was there at one time. Either way, you make it holy ground.
You could even have it where the bad@$$ immortal is about to take Duncan's head(What fan of the movies wouldn't want to see that? lol). And then time stops and stops turning back or the screen just fade to black. Then the next shot could be of the first immortal writing the book.
I am not positive on Methos' story. I know he is the longest living immortal but I don't know if it ever confirms he is the oldest. If the show never confirmed, it could have the next screen being of Methos dying the first time.
The the game could start anew. For this movie to work, you might have to make it the first part of a triligy.
Anyone have any thoughts or comments?

Now THERE is an immortal that is more of a punk than Richie. What would his persona ability be?
Answer: Annoy the crap out of all immortals in the game.

Kenny would have to be immune to head shots since no immortal would ever swing a sword that low to lop his head off, however, he couldn't make an upper attack since if he were to do that he would be thrown off balance and then he would just get stabbed a bunch of times. *shudders to think* If it was Kenny I think I'd have to quit playing this game. Well maybe not Cat

The following was posted on 9/9 on the Highlander Facebook page:
"Highlander" Movie Remake Update
Hey, We just got this from Davis-Panzer Productions:
Peter Davis of Davis/Panzer Productions is pleased to announce that the approximate 100 pounds of documents between Summit Entertainment and Davis/Panzer relating to the remake of the original 1985 Highlander cult classic were actually signed last week.
Davis said "It took 15 months to conclude the paperwork on this sucker but we are delighted. I'm very pleased to be working once again with my old friend Patrick Wachsberger who was instrumental in the financing of the original movie. And the creative team at Summit - Erik Feig - Geoff Shaevitz - Gillian Bohrer – are very impressive.
The writers on the remake, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man) are making very good progress with expectations of a draft by November. In short - all goes well on the Highlander remake front”.
