lol means laughing out loud. Are you replying to HWR or Tim, since neither seems to know the REAL meaning of LOL (or Christmas for that matter).

I was answering headswillroll's question about what lol means. I'm pretty sure Tim knows it, and is just being silly.

I was answering headswillroll's question about what lol means. I'm pretty sure Tim knows it, and is just being silly. But HWR was asking Tim what HIS version of LOL meant, since he seems to use it in situations that do not necessarily CALL for the use of "Laugh Out Loud". Since he couldnt make the Con last night, we couldnt ask him in person. Maybe he will come out Sunday.

It seems pretty obvious to me that he was laughing at headswillroll's seemingly passive aggressive response of "interesting statement." I know I did when I first read it.

Looking for an excuse to ban him again? And for that matter, TIM was being passive/aggressive in his statement to begin with.

Dude, take a chill pill. /80s
I can't ban people and don't want to. If you go check, I was one of the first people to say headswillroll should be let back after his month was up.
I know you've got a bee in your bonnet about me, but I don't hold grudges, and we'll get along better if you stop treating me like I do.

lol means laughing out loud. Thanks for your insight but I was asking Tim specifically for which way he was using the abbreviation, as is stated in the post you are answering. Headswillroll

Silly me. I thought the obvious would have been obvious, and so assumed you didn't understand the abbreviation itself.
