2nd Edition is not dead. We have produced 5 new sets since GenCon 2013. They are in the VS deck format. Each set has 2 immortals and there Weapon of Choice and all their cards. Here is what is out right now: Hamza el Kahir S Marcus Constantine Graham Ashe VS Haresh Clay James Coltec VS Kamir Andre Korda VS Zai Jie and a Legacy Set, 36 unique cards for immortals to give them a little boost.
Each set costs $40.00, and can be found on ebay in my ebay store. Just do a search for ebay id drb0762 and you can find them. Or, you can pm me here and we can work out an order. We decided to go with the vs deck format so people don't have to buy massive amounts on cards to get the ones they want. No chasing to get all the rares. just buy the sets you want and play. There is several threads here on the forum that discusses the new decks and cards in them.Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks Dallis

Good. Because I have a group here in Omaha looking to get back into it and they were curious. So do we know who owns the rights to produce the game now?

OK. I love this game and have played since the beginning...I will always play this game. Do you all do commission work? Like making custom generic immortals for customers?

I wont say no, but I will say it would have to be discussed and approved before giving an affirmative.

Apologies for the necro post. I am curious about this TCG and would like to purchase a starter (VS Deck?) in the future. Where should a new player begin? Is this incarnation considered dead? Note that I never touched the original game.

Note that I never touched the original game. Search Ebay for "Highlander 2nd Edition" you'll find some of the current vs decks and other 2nd edition stuff which is the current version of the game. Also can check out highlandercardgame.weebly.com to see current releases and www.bakershighlanderccgstore.com to buy singles.

Note that I never touched the original game. The game isnt dead. We produce between 4 and 6 releases per year, and still provide free Prize Support for tournaments. For brand new players, start with buying Versus set (this will give you two decks you can play against one another) and see how you like the game. If you want more cards, we sell a Generic Set that adds a lot of cards to your collection (toolbox and other cards to round out your deck theme) and you can consider other Versus decks to give you more variety of personas to play.

Prowler, is there info somewhere about tournament reqs? I think I can probably get 6-8 players, but probably not going to have the 12-16 person tournaments we had back in the day.
I'm just catching back up on all the sets I've missed and will be spending my holiday break building decks!
Thanks.

If you have a few players, play a Type One or Type Two event, you qualify for prize support. We ask that you post the event here on the boards do other players can see and maybe attend, and post the results as well. Contact dbaker here on the boards, he can hook you up with prize support. If you have any questions feel free to ask here of private message, I'm always happy to help
