This has been emailed to Thorr, who has graciously agreed to host it for everyone to download.
I hesitate to label this the FINAL rulebook (in case we missed something), but Headswillroll and I are confident this is comprehensive.
Some of the highlights -
Expanded explanation for how to win the game Card fixes, namely Holy Ground Card errata A comprehensive compatibility list for 1ed and 2ed cards to work under 3ed terminology
I hope you all enjoy it. We have tried to bring some balance to Type One and fix a few things that players told us they felt were still broken.

Thank you Thorr for updating the rulebook. As mentioned before, Steve and I went through everything from 1ed to 3ed, and made the changes that were needed to encompass the format for the future. We made the changes to make it as fair and playable as possible regardless of what cards you have or which immortal you play. All the final updates are in red to ease finding the changes. We hope you all enjoy the rule book as we dumped a lot of time into doing our best to get it right. I would say the most work was done in the Errata section and the conversion tables to acknowledge the new terminology that came in with 3ed. Steve mentioned the change to Holy Ground. Also, the 1ed Basset and Hotchkiss, Methos' Live Forever, and 1ed Surprise Attack for the Parry Blade to name some others.

Well, even though we thought we had caught everything, apparently not. One of our local players found a card that for some reason Prowler and I missed altogether. Considering the hundreds of cards we poured over, one card needing to be revised in over a year isn't too shabby for a couple of humans, LOL. Kudos go out to LoveBus for finding this card. So, even though we made the rule book to where it should be fine for future use without any adjustments, alas we have a card from the Raven set that has to be addressed. Below is the new text for the card:
Death Methos Event S2
Play in place of an attack. Search your Endurance and play up to ten non-special attacks. Shuffle your Discard Pile into your Endurance. You lose five ability. Dodges will not avoid multiple attacks played this turn.
This Errata will have the standard three week induction period from today's date to allow all players the time to view this and apply it to the existing rules.

Well, another card has been questioned concerning text. The card reads:
En Guarde Octavio Consone Edge R4
Retrieve: Discard this card before the game begins. Your opponent may choose to play cards first this game and you may search your endurance for any two cards and retrieve them to your hand. You may only discard one En Guarde.
Play in conjunction with an attack. Dodges will not avoid multiple attacks you play this turn.
++++++++++++++
The issue is design intent and precedence of play versus text technicality which makes the card broken in all formats. The intent is that the two cards are retrieved if your opponent chooses to go first, and that is the way it has been played. Thanks go out to Lovebus and Clique for bringing this technicality to our attention which points out the possibility of misinterpretation by players new and old. The technicality is the word "and" and its relevance. The obvious correction for clarification would be to remove "and" , then insert " If your opponent chose to go first.....". So, bearing this all in mind, there is no 3 week induction period because the intent of the card remains the same, that the retrieval is determined by the choice your opponent makes. However, to avoid future issues, we are errataing the card to read:
En Guarde Octavio Consone Edge R4
Retrieve: Discard this card before the game begins. Your opponent may choose to play cards first this game. If they choose to go first you may search your endurance for any two cards and retrieve them to your hand. You may only discard one En Guarde.
Play in conjunction with an attack. Dodges will not avoid multiple attacks you play this turn.

Well, Prowler found a card needing a little editting. He built a deck showing the brokeness of it. So here is the errata:
Woman Scorned R2 Kristin Gilles Event
You may only play this card if your opponent played an attack last turn. Play in place of an attack. You may play up to three basic attacks from your hand this turn. Defenses will not block or avoid multiple attacks you play this turn.
As ususal, this errata has a three week induction period to where everyone can be made aware of the change.

Well, we know this has been a debate for some time concerning the G01-008 card known as Bait and Switch. We have finally settled that this card needs to be errataed. Not due to the Challenge/B&S combo, which has many ways around it, but due to the fact that the text gets by the downsides of certain Pre Game cards. So, that bearing in mind, the following cards are being corrected to keep balance. G01-008 Bait and Switch Edge Play in conjunction with a defense. Nullify any Restriction effects your opponent has in play which would prevent you form playing that defense.
G01-009 Concentration Edge Play during your Reconcile Phase. For the remainder of your turn, any Restriction Effects your opponent has in play which would prevent you from playing any special card(s) are nullified.
PO4-022 Alert Block / Parrying Blade / 2 Block Choose one area on the Attack Grid for this block to cover. You may play this in conjunction with another non-Standing Defense block. This defense can defend attacks that cannot be blocked. Nullify any Restriction Effects your opponent has in play which would prevent you from playing this block from your hand. *********************************************** These cards have the usual three week induction period to make sure everyone has time to be made aware of the change. We thank anyone and eveyone for their questions and insights on things that need to be looked at to retain game balance and make it fun for everyone. HWR and Prowler 2-13-2013

One card we intended to retext and did not has recently been the arguement among many players as to exact text versus intent. Obviously, it is a card from the first set it is in no way "up to date" as far as current terminologies and mechanics. To remedy this, here is the new text for:
Scorn Situation / Diamond Icon
Target is rejected by a loved one due to their immortality. Target immediately loses two ability. The Ability is recovered if this card leaves play or is nullified. This card is removed from play after two of your opponent's complete turns.
As usual this errata has the three week induction period to allow all players to be made aware of the errata.

Well, after seeing just how much abuse could be done with certain controversial cards and in the effort of retaining intent and balance, it has finally been decided to add a few errata. While some may seem extreme, due to combos revealed by players and their concerns, these are the agreeable changes needed to keep all immortals on a more balanced field. We thank every players inquiries and suggestions to help the game. The changes are in bold print. Waiting to Strike (4H-123) 2 (Bugged) Edge Play in conjunction with a special card. You may play an additional Event this turn. You may only play or put into play two Special cards this turn. Skip your Attack Phase. Trip (HTG-165) (Signatured) Yung Dol Kim Event Remove all Standing Defenses your opponent has in play. You may play another Special Card this turn. You may only play one Trip per turn. Combination (HTG-162) (Signatured) Yung Dol Kim Event You may play an additional attack this turn. You may play another Special Card this turn. You may only play one Combination per turn. Disgruntled Mortal (HTG-202) Situation: Bystander BURN: Your opponent must discard the top card of their Endurance during each of their May Do/Must Do Phases. This is a cumulative effect. TSC Troopers (HTG-215) Situation: Pedestrian Play on an opponent's Situation in play. Keep TSC Troopers with that Situation. You may ignore the effects of that Situation. Mimes (HTG-276) Situation: Bystander TRIGGER: If your opponent drew cards before their Draw/Discard Phase last turn, you may discard this card from play to draw that many cards during your turn. Teacher of Many (Diamond Icon) All versions Dr. Paul Wilder (G02-010) 2 (Bugged) Event: Mortal Ally Your opponent's Ability at the end of their next Ability Adjustment Phase is now their Maximum Ability. If your opponent gained Ability during their last turn, they lose two Ability.
Trench Coat (HN13-068) Trigger Object Trigger: Discard this card from play to remove one Pedestrian, Bystander, or Reporter from play; or to counter one Pedestrian, Bystander, or Reporter as it is played or put into play. Cautious Advance (V01-056) 2 Situation: Standing Defense Cost: If your opponent is Prone, they must spend a Defense or choose to lose one Ability to play the first card from their hand during each of their turns.
As usual, the three week induction period applies to allow all players to be aware of the changes.
