Alright, I've got some good news and some bad news. Good news is that I found my Kalas deck, completely assembled from the last time I used it. Bad news is that I haven't been able to locate the rest of my collection. Oh well, nobody's problem but mine. Back to the good news. Here's my 1e Kalas deck.
Kalas Kalas Premium Pre-Game Darius (Kirk Matunas) Pre-Game James Horton Slan Q Kane Q
15 basic attacks/blocks 6 Lean and Mean 6 Patience 4 Kirk Matunas 3 Watcher (edge) 2 Master's Block 1 Feint 3 Intimidate 1 Stalk 1 Head Shot 2 Awareness (block)
I have 12 cards of vapor to cycle through the deck. Unleash a big 8 point Kirk Matunas to empty my opponent's hand. Force them to defend the Head Shot from and exertion, or beat them into submission with Intimidate. It's not fancy. It's built to win quick or go home. If it get's stalled, it's probably not going to win a long game, but, I don't think I've had any games that lasted past 5 turns.
I have taken many heads and quickenings with this deck. It's a one trick pony, but, Kalas kinda has to be. If you get our Kirk's on turn one, the game is over on turn two.

needs focus bad. Both intimidate and kirk will be shut down by a first turn honer bound. Also is it wise too risk twi qs? Perhaps drop the kane and add a break glass too counter fast talk and honor bound.

It's not without flaws, for sure. I never had Break Glass. Kane Q was just extra annoyance. I never really updated the deck after I first made it. I'm sure it could use focus. I jsut listed the deck as it was when I found it in storage the other day. If you can tweek it a bit and make it work better, go for it. I always like seeing Kalas win. Could drop Patience to insterst some more support and run Nef draw Q.

Dropping the Patience for a Nef Q and replacing them with 2e Focuses and Alertness means you've still got vapor, but it's useful vapor.

I'm sure I have those cards somewhere.........just have to find them.....still no hurry since nothing local has really developed yet. The point was more to get the deck out there so people could see another side of Kalas. Instead of the traditional Angry Mob/Careful Planning "cheese," this is like dropping a big fat brick of swiss on them to empty their hand all at once. If you get it through, the game simple ends.........in most situations. Nef or an immortal with a Nef draw Q could be problematic. There isn't a Kronos discard Q is there?

I don't believe so, the Kronos Q I have is for the attack restriction, and that was hard enough to find. Still looking for another and a Bob quickening. The person to talk with about Kalas is definately Russelmerchant, as he has worked extensively with that immortal. I think he mentioned something about a shrine in his basement or something. ;D But you didn't hear that from me!!! ;D Headswillroll P.S.- Just kidding Russell.

I suppose it's for the best that a Kronos discard Q was never made. Then everyone would play Kalas and I just couldn't stand playing the same thing everyone else plays.

I would play Kalas any day before I would ever play Methos. Headswillroll PS- Russell, you can print this to put into your good coments for Kalas folder. ;D

I've never been fond of the "thief" immortals, Richie and Mythos. I do like Nakano and Kane though.

Nothing. It's a response to your comment about not wanting to play Methos.
