Who said you aren't suppsed to play them? The scant rules we HAVE been given for what is legal to play in Type One tourneys. Please, continue posting combos using Trap, Time and MLE cards. I am SURE the Design Team will eventually get around to making rules for allowing ALL thier uses. I know how much they LOVE and ADMIRE the Raven set, so I am POSITIVE they are probably at home working on this problem even as we speak. You are being a big help to all the new players by giving them these combos without any kind of disclaimer attached. I am sure they can decipher what IS and ISNT allowed in official play, especially when the examples are being given by a Moderator.

Who needs disclaimers? That's what I've got you for. Got any posts that actually include combos? Here's another, just for you: Upper Basic Attack + Yung Dol Kim: Wei Chung Foil + Hypnosis Play the Hypnosis and Wei Chung Foil traps on the upper basic attack. If they block it you flip the WCF and they have to defend again. If they dodge it you flip the hypnosis and they have to defend again. If that new defense happens to be a block, you get to flip the WCF. This works even better with Master's Advance, Duncan's Debra ally, and/or the Standing Defense quickening to force them to discard defenses every time they have to play another. Also, there's no limits to the number of Hypnosis or WCFs you can play with one upper attack, so feel free to go buck wild. Yung Dol Kim: Wei Chung Foil Attack: Trap [GRID: ---/---/X-X] Play in conjunction with an upper Basic Attack. If your opponent successfully blocked your attack, your opponent must play a new defense to defend this attack. This attack cannot be a Power Blow. Generic Hypnosis Edge: Trap You have temporarily paralyzed your opponent's thinking process. Play in conjunction with a Basic Attack, it cannot be a Power Blow. If your opponent plays a dodge in defense against this attack, you may counter it. Your opponent may play another defense from their hand against this attack. You may play only one Hypnosis a turn.

And in the same vein as that last one:
Upper Attack + Cassandra Persona + Hypnosis + Duncan: Debra
Use Cassandra to completely empty their hand of defenses while Debra is in play. then play the upper attack with Hypnosis. Because of Debra they can't play a block, and if they get a dodge in their exertion you counter it.

Talia can be a nasty persona. She's got the same Taunt as Katana and a bunch of cards to work off forced exertions. She's also got a card like Treachery, so she can conceivably have 8 power blows that the opponent has to lose cards for instead of her exerting.
Master's Block + Explosive Device + Retribution + Nerve Toxin
The Master's Block forces them to discard two cards per defense in an exertion. The explosive device makes them lose ability for each defense in the exertion. The Retribution forces them to exert for a defense against your power blow. The Nerve Toxin thins their deck and removes threats.
Talia Bauer: Master's [GRID:XXX/XXX/XXX] If your opponent makes an Exertion for a defense on their next rurn, they must discard two cards from the top of their Endurance for each defense in that Exertion. You may attack areas you just blocked.
Talia Bauer: Explosive Device An Explosive device goes off. This may be played immediately after your opponent makes an Exertion. Your opponent loses one Ability for each defense in their Exertion. If your opponent has no defenses, return this card to your hand.
Talia Bauer: Nerve Toxin Edge: Trap Play in conjunction with an attack. If your opponent makes an Exertion for a defense during their turn, you may select one card randomly from that Exertion before it is discarded and remove it from the game. You may play only one Nerve Toxin per attack.
Talia Bauer: Retribution Event Play in conjunction with an attack. Your opponent may not play a defense against this attack unless it comes from an Exertion.

Here is another. Amanda with the Rapier also using the Arms and Tactics card from Raven: Play the circle first. Next turn Seduce + Dirty Trick : Stop Hit + Femme Fatale + Seduce + Fabris Thrust(3 Damage) + Femme Fatale + Seduce + Dirty Trick : Stop Hit.
Fabris' Thrust: Your master taught you well. This attack dose three damage. Your opponent can only play a defense from an exertion against this attack.
Seduce : You seduce your opponent. Your next attack may not be blocked or dodged.
Femme Fatale : Play in conjunction with Seduce. You may play another Seduce this turn.
Dirty Trick : Stop Hit. If this attack is Successful, your opponent must discard 10 cards from his endurance and they are prone. Dodges will not avoid multiple Dirty Tricks played this turn.
Your opponent must Recon the Circle in order to play a Dodge with an Alertness and has to be able to play 3 alertness for the attacks. If either Dirty Trick is seccussful, Discard Arms and Tactics card to force your opponent to skip his next five die rolls.

Oops. Feel free to play multiple Wei Chung Foils though, although aflashing Blade would be usful and they're still going to be able to block them with the same block.

Advance Warning + Kronos Master's Block.
It won't win you any games, but it can definitely keep you from losing a bunch of them. And it'll give people relying on Unblockable / Undodgeable attacks fits.

Annie: Rapier + Parrying Blade. Attack + Attack + Suprise Attack(left) + Suprise Attack (right) + Suprise Attack(left) + Suprise Attack (right) + Annie Flashing Blade(edge) + Renee Delany.
Annie's Personna power is dodges will not block multiple attacks she plays.
Flashing Blade(edge) states: You may play this card if you are using a one-handed wepon of choice. Play in conjunction with an attack. Blocks will not block multiple attacks you play this turn.
Renee Delany: Prevents your opponent from playing a special card next turn. No holy ground. Opponent must defend all attacks. In a lean and mean deck this is brutal.

I prefer to stick all the attacks onto the same side with those types of decks. It clogs their hand with defenses from the other side and makes it less likely they'll be able to cover all the attacks.
--
It's an old favorite, but still works wonders:
Xavier Master Tactician x3 + Poison Gas
While setting up the combo use Master Tactician to copy things like Ped: Hidden, Forethought, and Greenfield Hobbies so you stay alive. Once the first Poison Gas is out copy it three times for instantaneous 16 ability loss.

I'm partial to the complex combo of:
Trenchcoat PG (for Forged Steel) + Police Escort + a discard-to-use Object (Extra Weapon, Blatant Clue, Felicia Martins Correnelli Map) (with Misfortune back up if they have Objects themselves)
It's clunky, hard to defend (you only have one FS and if it's Misfortuned it's *gone*) and hard to pull of multiple times. Fun!
Trenchcoat PG Play this card in conjunction with your Persona card. You may begin the game with any one Object already in play. If that Object is swept from play, remove it from the game.
Forged Steel [OBJ] While Forged Steel is in play, if you successfully Disarm your opponent, his weapon also breaks and is no longer recoverable.
Police Escort [SIT: TRAP] If any object is removed from play, your opponent is Disarmed and without their weapon. Discard this card after your opponent's next three turns.
Extra Weapon [OBJ] If your weapon is Disarmed or broken, discard Extra Weapon to replace it.
Blatant Clue [OBJ] You may ignore the effects of any cards in play to play Situation: Plots. This will only allow you to play Situation: Plots in this manner. You may discard this card from play to search your Endurance for 1 card with the same Title as any Situation you have in play and place it in your Hand.
Felicia Martins Correnelli Map [OBJ] Discard this card from play to remove 2 of your opponent's Objects from play.
