Nice, I saw Jerry Shattenburg at a convention years ago, I am sure Stu knows were I can find him or another friend of mine in the comic industry. So I will have to call around tonight and see if I can get a hold of old Shat.

I left word with Jeff Smith to tell him about the tourney, but it wouldnt hurt if you called as well.

Yep, I had one of the losing Duncan decks. It was very frustrating went through the tourney with few of Duncan's good cards and the first pack I opened from the box I bought was a Master Head Shot, which has taken two heads so far (Slan twice).

JUST found this site yesterday, but I'm in KCMO as well (southtown) and used to play 1e online at a MUSH/MUD that had encoded it. I didn't even know they came out with a 2nd Ed. until yesterday! Would really like the chance to try it out or find some people to play against... does anyone play at say Tabletop or Recruits?

Yes, there will be Highlander at Recruits Convention next month. In the fall we hold City championships and in the spring we hold The Midwest Regionals Championships. I hold weekly tournaments at A to Z Comics in Blue Springs, the next one is Saturday 8/22 at 1pm. It is a Type 2 format.

used to play 1e online at a MUSH/MUD that had encoded it. Which one? I honestly can't remember the name of the MUSH/MUD now - this would have been around '96 or so. As I recall they had a sealed-deck style game but you could take Quickening's with you, a leaderboard, etc. A friend and I played there ALL the time. Geocities to the rescue! It was Valhalla (now at valhalla.com:2444). I was most likely using the handle Agarwaen, if you might have been there too. I'm supremely busy this month (getting ready for Dragon*Con), and may or may not make it to Recruits since I'm running a grinder that Saturday, but it's nice to know there are options for play in town! I'm excited (except about Verona...)
