Hmm, just looking at Master Alchemist. Is there anything to stop me from Basset and Hotchissing (1e) for like 15 and preventing all ability loss to myself?
Thanks,
Hayus.

Hi Brad
That was my first thought but then I remembered that Bassett and Hotchkiss had been errata'd so you can only discard 3 attacks. So only an ability loss of 3 max now and with cards like really? You are taking a chance anyway.
Best

At least the card is tagged with 'if you are using the Kiem Sun persona' so Darius can't get his grubby mitts on it. A couple years back that Burt Macklin dude proffered a suggestion about a 'rule of three' similar to what they did with the Game of Thrones LCG. Can't do this more than 3 times a turn, can't do that, can't draw more than 3 extra cards etc. That idea kind of grew legs and now a lot more effects are limit 3. BTW Game of Thrones DOESN'T DO THAT ANYMORE. Just saying..... P.S. Less than 2 weeks to the City and State championships here in rainy So Cal. Be there or be the Panthers. Go Broncos!

The limit of 3 seems to work from a deck building standpoint and also a sales standpoint. Power cards should always be limited, and you are right, 3 seems to be a good number

3 is the suckiest number that's ever sucked, but it does seem to work. Lex you were right.

A race that day? Is that your workout prior to getting the good stuff for Valentines Day?? Well, if it turns out to be just Vic and I playing, I better not build him a deck better than mine. I almost put my Methos Master weapon breaker together for Vic, but he's going to be stuck with Amanda/Chainsaw.

Got my cards yesterday and had a few first impressions to share. Appearance: Cards look and feel good, some blurry pictures but nothing to squawk about. Print and cardstock quality continue to be solid. Playability: Victor kind of makes me hope there will be a Dark Duncan Q making the prize packs in the future. Not counting on it, and frankly I don't think it would be good for game balance. A couple cards looked like they would probably see limited play as they were situational, but the dual Illusion/Situations were a nice addition. I'm guessing the new Head Shot is legal to play in Sealed Pack with the Kiem Sun deck even with his WoC? Kiem being able to ignore my favorite location Carl's Forest with a Reason discard is pretty sweet. Thank you for Reason bugging his Sneak Attack. Overall: A strong set, I prefer VH a bit as I think his persona ability can be abused to a greater extent, but Kiem is a nice mid tier persona. Let's offer the Design Team a hearty handshake on a job well done. Can't wait to see the finished versions of Brian Cullen and Cardinal Giovanni. Glad I'm going to Indy this year.

Thank you very much!! Kiem Sun CANNOT use the Head Shot card unless he forgoes the use of his weapon. He is a complicated person and the choices he makes are not always logical ones. His overall design reflects this, including the choices he has to make of what cards to include in his deck. Our players werent sure what to think of VH until I pointed out the use of his persona ability to Exert TWICE in a turn if you needed to find an attack or a defense. Or if you are Prone you can make a Hard Exertion to become UnProne and then make a Hard Exertion LATER in the turn for something else.
