Well, with The Gathering set in full swing we have two more tournaments scheduled at Ground Zero in Omaha.
The first is a Sealed Deck on Jan 26th at 6pm (prize should be $20-25) After that we have a 2nd ed Constructed event planned for Feb 16th.
Hopefully lost of fun and several heads lost.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. -Jordan

Are you guys still playing and holding events out there at GZ? We have about 4-5 players out in Bellevue and it would be nice to play some differnt people with different Decks.

Just a note for all the NE players, we have a CON down here in KC twice a year. You just missed the fall one, but there is another coming in the spring, and it is the MidWest Regional. Being as we are only 3 hours away, if you want so different competition, you could always roadtrip.
Heck, if you want to come down ANY time for a game, check the calendar here on the site, we post in advance all our tourneys.

Due to time constraints, I'm only able to run the one tournament this year.

What time does the tourny start and do you have to pre register or check in ahead of time. Depending me and my husband might be able to make it.

Ahhh......now I'm sad. Alas it starts too early for us. Oh well, perhaps we'll take up Headswillroll's offer to go down to KC in spring.
P.S. Gallen with a Kris is a truely broken thing.

Well, maybe next year at your Championships, you could let us know a little farther in advance, and possibly get both formats going. From what I remember, there is a group that is Type 2 only and a group that is Type 2/Type 1 in the Omaha area. We had talked a while back about road tripping between KC, Omaha, and Joplin, but not a whole lot has happened as far as the Omaha scene. If we have a early enough notice we might be able to get a group up there. As a jab to Zogfhyr, did you make it such short notice so there wouldn't be another Bill Chien incident? ;D ;D

You horsemen all look the same, j/k. but as far as casual gaming I think me and hubby will show up to GZ sometime. I want to see if my Blaine deck is as broken as people keep saying it is. I don't think it is, but we'll see.

Actually I scheduled the event (and our other events) several months ago and posted it with Mike for the main site (sadly it didn't get updated). I also stopped posting our events here on the boards since about 90% of our player avoid the boards like a plague. I do post and update events on our Yahoo group (OmahaHighlander). Currently I am only runing 2nd ed events because there are unresolved issues with mixing first edition that I feel need to be resolved. Plus a lot of our players didn't play until 2nd ed so the events would be very unbalanced with the potencial of making some newer players shy away from the game is not something I want.

I fully understand NOT wanting to do Type One if the majority of your players are 2ed. Like you said, it could drive those folks away. I dont ask what your issues are to debate with you, I am interested because there may be things we have overlooked here in KC due to our own metagame. I am interested in making Type One better.
