Again, I invite you to tell Ken to just call me. I am used to him self destructing. As long as I have known him he can turn silk purses into sows ears better than anyone I know. If he actually said he has spoken to me anytime in the last 3 months, HE IS A LIAR! I have the phone records to prove it! I have never insulted anyones mother, I have too much respect for Mothers. He is drawing on a typical tactic to try to discredit his opponent instead of sticking to the truth. I find it interesting that he seems to have found a friend in you to do his heavy lifting. Since you have such a good relationship with him please tell him I have authorized you to find the following information for me: An inventory of all Highlander product you have produced. An inventory of all Highlander product you have shipped. An accounting of all funds you have received for Highlander product.
If he says he has sent this to me then HE IS A LIAR.
I have seen a danger room card and I can verify they were printed on Ken's printer. The distinctive scratches or marks on some of the cards are from one of his printers that needs a new fuser.
The reason no one wants to fess up is they are in a conspiracy to sell unlicensed product. Sooner or later someone will come to me with the right evidence, I will reward them with piles of cool cards, and then you will have the whole story.
Thanks for playing

Ken knows what is required and he had previously told me he did it. You know what is required and you are saying you did it. You guys work it out, in court if needs be. It's not my money you are fighting over.
I am just recounting what I was told at the time and putting the other side to it. I'm not being encouraged in any way, I just found your account to be very different from the account I was given from the other side, quite some time prior to yours appearing and without anything at the time happening to prompt something being made up. Just general conversation about where things were at...
What you're telling me could give rise to claims of Ken having some kind of psychic powers He can see the future argument so he makes up something in the past to counter it! Either that or he's super clever and forward thinking, or maybe he's got a point... Could be any of the three really! You know he actually told me previously that he can look after his own rep and to not bother defending it but I dunno I just feel the need for things to have two sides.
The insulting phone conversation was alleged to have occurred quite some time back, maybe that was your last one when you guys were sparring because of your Highlander licensing situation and Ken attempting to buy the license having been sent a cease and desist by the licensor's lawyers.
The Danger Room card is a Kinkos job. It doesn't even have the right colouring on the back. If Ken was actually making a bootleg card don't you think it would look the same or so darn close your couldn't pick it since everything is the same setup? The crystals are another matter, they appeared legit to me. Ask Danger Room. But none of these things are worth anything anyway...
I would hope that nobody's selling any unlicensed product - there have been enough cease and desist letters already!

Ok here we go. I decided to mail Ken with the thoughts here including those from Mike and he replied to me. He can't post as he's still banned but authorised me posting what he sent me. I think we got the picture now...
>>> All of the information that Mr. Sager requires will be in the civil suit paperwork that he will receive next week.
Unfortunately, Mr Sager may not hold $18k of my money hostage because he feels I may or may not owe him paperwork that will make a difference of a few hundred dollars. This is simply a stalling tactic so he can use the money he owes me to get the next round of printing done.
Tony is a good retail friend and comes to my hotel about 4 times a year. Last time he was here with his family, he went into my garbage dumpster and picked out boxes of Highlander cards I had thrown away. As far as I was concerned, once I threw them away, they were not my problem.
As for Tony's Bootleg Cards... Until your e-mail I had no clue what you were talking about. When he visited, I explained to Tony how one could make their own cards at Kinkos. I believed he wanted to make his own card game - not Highlander fakes. Those cards have nothing to do with me. As far as Tony Lakas goes that is Mike's problem, not mine...
Also, if Mike would have paid me my rightful share when he said he would, I would have NEVER gone after the license, and NEVER thrown away any product that some opportunistic retailer then took out of my dumpster. Everything that is happening to Sager is a consequence of his own actions.
And lastly, I am willing to settle for $15k from Mike. The deadline is noon May 17th. I will take it in credit vouchers - which he already has - or a simple wire transfer. He has my e-mail.

Edited for grammar and speeling.

Any more accusations or insults made towards anyone else on this thread or another will result in locked threads and possible bannings. These are court issues, not forum issues.

I am not sure if it is hilarious or droll (or maybe drool) myself but it is interesting. I do get a chuckle out of the mental image of Tony dumpster diving for cards....

you know for an official game website, there seems to be a lot of unprofessionalism going on by game owners. I realize that when one feels attacked he must protect his image and such, but as a new gamer comming in to game I'm starting to get a little worried. I will continue to buy product right now, but I dont know how long that will last, especially if the prices get higher.

Ok I would just like to apologize for those who may have been offended with what my digging around uncovered and its linkage to other issues and arguments. Some of these things are tangled up, but at least we got the full info in the end
The full info on the mystery of the cards IMO is actually relatively harmless and less concerning than what was initially suspected, the summary is that there is 1 unauthorised card that was never meant for profit and was supposed to be only given out free like a quirky business card, and that all other product they have is actually the real thing (even though some of it was unfinished product). It shouldn't have happened that people got unofficial or unfinished cards and it's being atoned for by the seller, with all parties who bought cards they weren't happy with being refunded/otherwise compensated. If you are holding some of these cards still and don't wish to keep them, the good news is that the seller didn't mean to cause any problems and wants his buyers to be happy, so is offering a full refund or equivalent compensation in product. And the product the seller has is real product!
Just e-mail them if you haven't already, they will fix everything up to your satisfaction. They won't be making the same mistake again, I think they just didn't realise where it would all head to!

Is it just me or does anyone else find it ironic that the answer as to how these cards came about was ultimately answered by the person (user) who originally raised the question - and not directly by any of the parties involved or the design team?
Ironic or emblematic of the situation surrounding the game?

I guess I was very curious and I checked cards carefully and asked a number of questions of different people and I guess the answer just popped out in the end It would seem that in this case the design team were just as uninformed on the subject as the rest of us. Tho I found it very odd that they didn't initially seem the least bit concerned...
